Since it's plastic, it may work. The can itself will provide its compatibility. If you want it to be stronger, scuff it or high sand paper it, primer it, wait between 1/2 coats and wait again then add the color y I use going to use while waiting between coats. Finally, hit it with a clear coat, but let it dry for a week or so. Goodluck.

Why why why do people remove their resonator it does not make it any louder at all nothing nada its there only so you dont get that drone noise on the highway. Its a pipe in a pipe it just changes the pitch a tiny bit but not decibels. Muffler changes the sound i worked in a Muffler shop for 10 years! If you want that kick ass sound take off Muffler and add a flow master 40 series. Has that old school 1967 GTO sound.
@Luminary_Industries
@Luminary_Industries Жыл бұрын
With all do respect.. if it doesn't make it louder, but increases drone noise... wouldn't that still be an increase in noise? It would still be quiet, slight increase in tone from the back end and give the individual a bit of noise to satisfy their sport or muscle sounding craving and feeling while maintaining the muffler to prevent getting pulled over due to excessive noise or to stay compliant to local automotive laws. Now, removing both will definitely increase sound and exhaust flow for turbocharged vehicles like the one in this video. But, at this point... increase in exhaust diameter will be even more beneficial for performance reasons.
@bigguy1403
@bigguy1403 Жыл бұрын
@Jorgiie's Channel sorry but you will loose horse power when you take off your resonater. There is absolutely no benefit in taking it off. Yes if you like that drone constant noise in the cab then yes take it off but remember again you loose HP when you remove it. People think because it's in line with the muffler it's a restrictor. It's not! Race car drivers are actually adding more resonaters on their cars to increase HP and sound growl. I worked on race cars for 32 years in NY & NJ.
@Luminary_Industries
@Luminary_Industries Жыл бұрын
@Big guy You gain exhaust flow with a turbo charged engine. There's statistics that show and various tuners have shown the increase in power and spool. If you're talking about an N/a commuter, then I would understand. However, multiple global time attack vehicles and drag cars run open dp, hood dumps, and straight pipe modifications. I can include data that shows that portion of things. When you consider restrictions and so on. If you've been in the race scene for what you say, then you're coming from an Era where things weren't as advanced as opposed to the present. Even personal family that have been in the race car world, including the time of the muscle car Era, and have experience would say the same. An increase in horsepower is found in a less restricted pipe than one that is. So, unfortunately, I'd disagree when there's statistical data, I would prefer facts over hypothetical opinion. I respect your view nonetheless. The main point of your argument was that no change in tone would occur, however by having an in cabin change of tone that occurs after the removal of a resonator, you'd be wrong.
@bigguy1403
@bigguy1403 Жыл бұрын
@Jorgiie's Channel yes wasn't talking about turbo charged.

If I understood correctly. For install.. you don't need much, but the bolts supplied with the tb. If you're on stock intake manifold, you will need to bypass the coolant hose. As the cs tb will not have that option available anymore. You can also run this without a tune, but cs recommends a tune.

@Luminary_Industries
@Luminary_Industries Жыл бұрын
Well, I always recommend an accessport, (Hpfp) high-pressure fuel pump internals. They are both easy. The (hpfp) can be done with ease following a video for reference. The next easy thing to do is a (rmm) rear motor mount to help with wheel hop and some of that torque steer. If you're freshly new to one, I'd recommend doing the usual maintenance to the car and have it on record, such as motor and transmission oil changes, spark plugs and so on. I have a few videos that you may use at your discretion for reference. Any other questions, feel free to ask.

No wet sanding or flex additive or adhesion promoter. That paint is not gonna hold. Also the rivets? Why ? Whats gonna happen when you need to take it off? Better off with bolts and nuts. You'll learn though . We all make mistakes. Good job though

It's held up fine. It's a great statistic to back behind your response to the methods used in this video. It was a trick shared to me at the time this was posted by a skill full body shop/work team. No bolts and nuts when you have a drill with the appropriate drill bit to remove it. Yeah, you can use nuts and bolts, but it doesn't tale long to remove a rivet. Lol I only recently removed it for aero purposes for use at the track. The rivets held on great at 140 plus, so they do hold of you were interested in that information.
