If you are interested in an update to my HTO surgeries that were done in Jan '23 and Mar '23, I returned to mountain bike riding at 6 weeks post-op, and trail running distances of 13.6 miles, in July, and ran another rim-to-rim run at the Grand Canyon in mid-August as a marathon distance. I raced 2 trail half marathons; got 3rd overall in the first one, and won the second race, and then returned to the Grand Canyon and ran another rim-to-rim as a speed run. In early December '23 (10 months post-op on the 1st leg, and 8 months post-op on the 2nd leg) I had the plates and screws removed. 7 weeks later, I started skiing again.

I have few questions ; 1) what is the ρ (g/mm ³)? in the equation of physiological cross sectional area? 2)Also in the same equation for physiological cross sectional area, on the denominator of that equation there is fiber length (mm) times ρ (g/mm ³) correct? But then you said that physiological cross sectional area is related to the maximum force that a muscle can produce. Wouldn't that mean that the more fiber length increases the less maximal force the muscle can produce? (because of the fiber length being on the denominator?). But we know that resistance training causes increases in muscle strength and usually increases in muscle fascicle length (especially when using eccentric contractions). How is this possible? 3) Does the fact that the new panoramic method is way more accurate than the B mode mean that all the old studies findings about fascicle length could be wrong and thus we can not actually use them to make assumptions anymore?
