Basically, from what I wrote in my last comment; read the rules so you know how to break em!

It’s okay, but before writing harmonically and rhythmically complex pieces I’d recommend listening to more music which incorporates this. The piano melody seems rather uninspiring, with the rhythm itself seeming “off” with those fast notes at the end of the bar. Listen to Bill Evans for example to see how he incorporates different rhythms and pauses, with some juicy chords. Drums are fine, perhaps improve on the soloing? Again with the rhythms. Overall I’d recommend transcribing famous jazz pieces before writing your own in order to understand how one forms this type of music, solid start though!

Hello there ! Nice piece ! On my channel I have recorded a piece for cello/piano called "l'Etreinte d'un Rêve", would be curious to have your opinion about it if you have time to check :) Best, Christophe

In measures 15 and 17 (25 also) you should write as (a-flat) instead gis (g-sharp); it will be right from the point of view of harmony. =) Sorry for my english, I can't speak English vell))

Awesome. Also when writing with the Viola, you made it sound so smooth in that recording. Whenever i write for strings it sounds really clunky. Did you do anything with the recording and if so can you tell me how to do the same? Thanks :)

so instead of writing "andante" again the "correct" way of writing it is "a tempo", also it's a little bit repetitive but i completely understand, it can be hard to come up with something new

@@Jamesmusica the problem (not your fault) is that somehow this video has thousands of views, while my most complex and even my most simple videos don't even have 100 views. some of my works, like many works of many other composers, took a long time to write, and instead of being at least viewed by the algorithm they get replaced by this video. it's really frustrating, like my time has been thrown in the mud as I lost many nights of sleep for nothing.

i didnt feel the development to bigger chords and octaves, with the accents, accelerando, and fortissimo were as impactful you wanted them to be. thats not to say the idea isnt there and obvious, but instead that its left feeling to me a little straightforward and its power is weak. maybe you could consider somehow building up to it more or using some dissonance as other users have suggested. personally, i struggle alot with keeping them from being plain, and its the texture that i struggle with. something that helps me is looking at what older and well accomplished composers do to make texture. i dont mean youd have to get down in the weeds too much and 'study' the scores (though you could if you want, i myself struggle with that) but find a part of a composition you love and try to see what the composer does to make it something other than the skeleton its built around and try to bend those same techniques around parts of your composition. i find its much easier to grow your 'composing toolbox' when you can collect *real* experience through doing hands on things like this as opposed to reading textbooks (for me at least). i hope you take my solicitation lightly and that its helpful
