Sorry for the late question but I just found your videos. Do the rotors from the AC compressors not have enough copper to worry about recovering it?
@andrewfaber90149 күн бұрын
I'm afraid I'm about to do this to mine and the algorithm knows it. 😅

Faster drain option. Lay the compressor on the side and blast a hole into the bottom with a plasma cutter than tip it back upright. Takes half the time.

Can use plasma cutter continues for 6 or 7 hours?
@theEmpireofdirtАй бұрын
That is a cheap harbor freight plasma cutter. I’ve been using it for 10 years like that, but it’s probably a 50% duty cycle because you have the time to throw the pieces in the scrap bin.

Where did you get the moon chisel bit or how did you make it
@theEmpireofdirtАй бұрын
I believe I bought that one on Amazon and modified it. The first one I bought from a Cornwell tool truck. You definitely want a good quality chisel so you don’t have to sharpen it all the time that one. I only have to sharpen about once a day.

So 6 pounds in say 12 min. 5 /hour. 5X 6 # = 30# /hour. 30 X $4 =$120 I Would just call your set up a money printer.😊

Amazing set up. Not sure i would set all those windings on the floor just to be picked up again later but you boys are younger than me.

Thanks There’s actually supposed to be another pallet rack beside that so I can just switch it out with the forklift on a pallet, but I hadn’t gotten to making the rack yet

I just got a HUGE, 250lb compressor out of a unit that cooled a BANK. Cast iron shell... i think from the 80's? It weighs as much as a small 4 cyl engine block. All I could do to hand truck it up a ramp into my truck with cinch motorcycle straps.

Nice video. If you don’t mind, a couple of curiosity questions: 1) what size drill bit you’re using? and 2) what the white cap under the grating and over the drill bit is to deflect the oil?
@theEmpireofdirt8 ай бұрын
I either use a 5/16 or 3/8 drillbit. It seems to be a nice compromise between drain speed and drill speed. The white cap is to minimize the amount of metal chips that go down between the drillbit and the chuck. I actually put a piece of heat shrink on the drillbit also to give a better seal it doesn’t prevent it 100% but it certainly cuts down on it. Also cut down on the amount of oil as well.

You make this a whole day to change a tire. Also sand blasting is the best way to clean rust. If I was there, I would help you .

You should of put the split rim on the bottom of the tire, then broke the top rim. You are making a lot of work for no reason. Maybe you will get it after a while.

ToolswithAlz has no idea what he's talking about. Dude just calls anyone who likes Makita a woman or homosexual, has brand apologism, and regularly posts comparison videos of entry level vs pro level tools while pretending they're competing products. Can't trust a word he says.

Atleast you can always replace the brushes. If you're brushless gose bad, its fucked

Brushed units are more durable in outdoors water doesn't hurt it as quickly
@wrefk Жыл бұрын
Not saying you're wrong cause I'm not fully sure, but a big advantage of brushless is there are no exposed electrical connections as long as the esc is coated, brushed motors by definition have exposed electrical contacts. Aside from materials that corrode of course
