I just got a HUGE, 250lb compressor out of a unit that cooled a BANK. Cast iron shell... i think from the 80's? It weighs as much as a small 4 cyl engine block. All I could do to hand truck it up a ramp into my truck with cinch motorcycle straps.

Amazing set up. Not sure i would set all those windings on the floor just to be picked up again later but you boys are younger than me.

Thanks There’s actually supposed to be another pallet rack beside that so I can just switch it out with the forklift on a pallet, but I hadn’t gotten to making the rack yet

Hi, what do you use on top of the compressors to pick him up? That is a nice set up.
@theEmpireofdirt Жыл бұрын
I put a self tap screw in the top of the compressor, and then the piece that I am picking them up with just has a notch that it slides into

Are you draining them of oil first as it appears when cut they are not leaking much?
@theEmpireofdirt Жыл бұрын
Yes, part one is on the channel that shows how we drain them

Can use plasma cutter continues for 6 or 7 hours?
@theEmpireofdirtАй бұрын
That is a cheap harbor freight plasma cutter. I’ve been using it for 10 years like that, but it’s probably a 50% duty cycle because you have the time to throw the pieces in the scrap bin.
