I switched from gabapentin 300, to this 50 mg. I instantly regretted it, and wished I left well enough alone. Then I was curious and took 100mg to see if it was better, and it was. I can live with it now, esp. If they get their way and make gaba controlled. Yuck. With this I'd just say make sure you're on enough of it to feel it.

I've had ptsd since childhood. Prazosin has helped me a ton with my sleep. I am still an insomniac, but it makes my sleep much more manageable. Because now when I fall asleep I don't just abruptly wake back up from nightmares. Without being on the Prazosin. Almost 50% of the time I get into the REM sleep cycle and start dreaming, I will have a nightmare and wake up. Prazosin helps eliminate dreaming entirely from my sleep. So I no longer have to wake up from nightmares.

I was prescribed this for a stubborn motor tic I had years ago (It came back, which is why I'm here, it seems to be related to school anxiety) . I remember it made me so sluggish I was emptying the dishwasher and then I just stood there for a minute with a dish in my hand unable to move. Once the tic went away I stopped taking it. I just stsrted concerta and find it much more tolerable than vyvanse. vyvanse definately works however I experienced headaches, brain fog and vyvanse made me feel flat all the time where as concerta doesnt. both do make make loose my appetite however, which i dont really mind too much since Ill just make myself eat nutrient dense meals.
