I know that's the correct way but after I try a few breaths the correct way there is urgency to reach up for air and yawn because it feels the air gets trapped in the trachea and because it cant go anywhere else it just has to leave again so I yawn for relief. It's very frustrating to do the right way and not feel it come in completely

I have not found a person who can demonstrate or explain WHY this changes a voice. I'm skeptical, as I hear no change to your voice.

Thanks a lot for this appropriate explanation. I have definitely made mistake of sucking air whenever I tried different types of deep breathings even though my body did tell me not to do. MAM can you guide & suggest certain guided exercises for doing normal deep breathing & alternate nostril breathing. Shall be very grateful.

This is the single best video instruction on the Lie-Down Alexander activity I have ever found on the internet. For sure. #1. Glad I found this in 2020.

I learned this in a Chi Kung class taught by Stuart Alve Olson decades ago. It had a "Oriental" emphasis of course. But this is a great summary of the principles involved.

Lasse 'Boogie' Jensen Hi Lasse, I’m not a pianist and I wasn’t thinking about how far to be away from the keys, which you as a pianist would know about but the body use changes I suggest and the undoing I suggest in this video will be something you can apply to sitting further away and will improve the ease and freedom of your arms and hands and increase efficiency in movement.
