Great fix. I'll be checking out your channel. Outrageous prices for replacement keys. Maybe Kamala will mandate price fixing for it.

I live in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and just found out. They made their tools here for a minute and I’m so pissed they didn’t tell anybody. I know at least 50 people that would’ve bought master sets

Awesome tool man, I’m a little envious - I’ve drooled over some of the battery powered chainsaws for quite sometime. I’ve got gas and electric that tends to be my go to, but someday I’ll change over. Glad you are happy with it and pulled the trigger on it.

Those are not Channellocks. They are also not WF. They were made by Champion DeArment
@shawnwest3779Ай бұрын
Champion DeArment is channellock. They changed their name in 1963 and had the contract to produce for craftsman lasted from around 1936-1983. They also made pliers for Bonney and Cornwell around this time as well

Tom, my brother bought one last year and he does like it. It's not a gas saw and never will be but for light work cleaning up downed limbs and such it's great. He also got the pole saw. Nice to see you back. We missed you at Jacktown. George

Hi Tom. Not a DeWalt guy but it seemed workable. People need to forget about comparing battery and gas. There is no comparison. It’s like comparing a dump truck to a Tesla. Except Teslas are…..well you know 👍

This is a great saw. Especially paired with a flexvolt battery. I got mine bare tool a few years ago for $99 during a holiday sale. It’s amazing. You’ll love this saw. It’s nice and light (relative to a gas saw) and it’s so nice to have the electric brake on it. And it’s so nice to have you back Tom. I hope for more regular uploads.

Looks like a great little saw. I have 3 gas saws, 1 six inch cordless (great for small stuff) and 1 corded electric, I love the corded electric and for such a small light weight saw it cuts like crazy. Funny story, a twin pack of those DeWalt 5 amps that I didn't order showed up on the front porch one day.......I think it had something to do with an auction I won that they were fulfilling thru HD (all I know is my auction item and those batteries showed up the same day) but I don't know for sure and there was no paperwork in the box, anyhow I ended up with 2 expensive batteries for free.

It's sad that all big box store brands no longer manufacture tools in the USA. With that being said back in the late 90's early 2000's paying around $100 for good professional quality wrenches by a big box brand Craftsman Professional, Kobalt which were manufactured by Williams (Snap-On) and Craftsman Professional which were rebranded Armstrong is like paying $250 to $450 in today's money. Which is what you will pay for a Williams, Proto, SK and Wright set of wrenches. You'll pay 2.5x that off the tool truck by MAC, MATCO, Cornwell and 3x that by Snap-On. Got to love the Federal reserve and Printing out money we don't have. Having greedy CEOs outsource tools and other products overseas to make their profit margins look good. Yup economics at it's finest.
@wes55324 ай бұрын
It looks like, if you're just starting out accumulating tools, you're doing OK, but could do better. But if you're just buying tools to resell (or flip), which is something else entirely, you're on the right track. If you're putting tools together to make actual sets or collections, there are better ways to go about it.

I've always been an "S-K guy", but I must say, in recent years, last couple decades really, it has really been difficult to find anyone who sold/retailed S-K tools...frustrating since I loved them and enjoyed handling them in the store before buying them...about the only place you could find their stuff was online, and often quite expensive....
