That's because this level is actually an early version of one that is used in Missing Stars. It's comparatively barebones, but it still is the same level.

@@Eviled yeah, originally I didn't know how to switch the font but turns out it was very easy and I was just being stupid. The game download comes with the better font pre installed, but you have to install it a second time within the game's folder for it to be actually used in game instead of the crappy default one. I wish I had figured that out earlier but from now on it'll be actually readable

Have you tried installing the proper fonts for RPG Maker 2003? You can easily find them on Google. Simply installing them should change the font of the game to a more coherent one.

It's the menu for Retroarch, which is used by the "Parallel Launcher" emulator. Id highly recommend using Parallel Launcher for Mario 64 ROM hacks, just because of how easy it makes playing them.

The sprites are from Superstar Saga and a lot of the music is from Super Mario RPG, so that might be why

Yeah, unfortunately because of the flash emulator I was using it wouldn't let me scroll down to read some of the text. I think I'm likely going to try to find a better way to replay the game so I can actually see all the dialogue before I try the follow up game in the future.

@@chugiron4698Oof, good point. This game is buggier than i remember. Hope you find a solution. But as for the other games, i played them on the developers' website and the dialogue seemed to work well

@@gunnersg2700 It isn't the game's fault, it's the emulator (ruffle). After flash shut down, you can really only play these games using different emulators. Ruffle is the most commonly used one but it has some limitations on what it's able to do, and float engine (the engine used to create the game) has some complications with ruffle
