You can try emptying all the pellets, empty the ash catcher when cool, and then trying to prime it. It looks like you may have a blockage caused by a buildup of half-burnt pellets. This can be due to a faulty control board, which causes the auger to overload the burner with pellets. Another possibility is that some of the pellets got slightly wet from being outside. If any moisture makes its way into the hopper, the pellets can expand and cause a jam as well. This is also likely the reason you are getting so much smoke. Most people seem to complain of not getting enough smoke.

I'm surprised you lasted 2 weeks. After the 3rd day it came off completely. I attached it with surgical adhesive and it did the trick for one day then started coming off after. I think it's not well made plus the long shape of it along with the position on the stern makes it hard to stick to the body for a long period of time. I highly doubt the accuracy of this device.
