I guess the Russians didn't believe in RUD (Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly).

That's a real proof russians were able to build perfectly silent rockets that time and they also tried to land rockets 40 years before Elon ! :)

….. no that was an engine failure 41 years ago, NASA beaten the world to it

It’s crazy to think that almost a decade later and now they’re catching it out of the sky, and to think it all started with this

That was a rough rtls landing, I was hoping for the engines to restart 😊
@nicholasmaude6906Ай бұрын
If the engine shutdown had come at, say, T+40 seconds no doubt the rocket would've continued on a bit further and crashed away from the launch-pad.

I guess the “self destruct” button wasn’t working that day.
@F-ManАй бұрын
The Russians seldom, if ever, have equipped their carrier rockets with RSO destruct charges. There was a Proton launch failure in 2013 I think where it was simply consigned to fly out of control before lawn darting itself into the desert.

Elon Musk wants to nuke the polar ice caps on Mars to warm the planet and make it habitable. And he wants to load the nukes on THIS THING. Could you imagine if one of these rockets was carrying the nuclear weapons necessary for bombing Mars? The launch would fail, and all those nukes would fall right back down to Earth and blow up.

If this had been a manned mission, something like this would have triggered the launch abort system, in which would have pulled both the orbital and descent modules off the booster.

Bruh it was the C204 dragon not the C201, C201 already retired since 2016 and C204 has launched for the Crew Dragon First Demonstration, and you can see the Dragon has burned marks, which is actually the entry burn marks, which could say that it was the C204
