Hi G108, thanks for asking, I was out of office yesterday so could not reply promptly, I retired from training 2 years ago to make these videos for more people to use my ideas how to run a business or fix heating problems. Not all the VIDs are for everyone I watch may and learn a little from some. Over 40 years ago I had the same problem because the system and the people who make these rules make it as difficult as possible to become qualified and Gas Safe which is why we have a massive shortage, and they don't care to make it easier. I do feel for you and others, just keep looking, take care, George 😍👍

thanks. what is silencer and how does it work?
@mrcombiBedfordАй бұрын
Hi Eazy, thanks for asking, on a new install have to put F1 inhibitor to coat the system within to stop corrosion and remove air bubbles, then on the next drain down we refill and use F2 silencer which is a mild de-scaler which stays in to keep the system clean, often not done, most installers use F1 which is no good, waste of time, that's why they make F2. Hope that helps. George 👍
@eazyratАй бұрын
@@mrcombiBedford whaaaa that's the first I've ever heard that. I'm a new engineer I've heard of silencer before but wasn't sure exactly what it does or how it works. Everyone I know uses cleaner then leaves inhibitor in. Just looking on fernox website says cleaner then inhibitor where did you hear to use silencer? Thanks
@mrcombiBedfordАй бұрын
@@eazyrat Hi again, You are correct. Since 1970 the 'Codes' require on a new install 2 cold flush and then a hot test at MAX boiler / room stat temperature for at least 10 minuets, I can bet you this is NOT done. then the system is drained and refilled with cleanser again 10 mins. in hot. drained and filled with F1 inhibitor / protector. Because installers don't do this, in about 4 years the Dom exchanger / system gets slugged up, (money for the installer) the Plate 2 P is NOT replaced as required by the 'Codes' and manufacturers instead drain acid is used to rip off customers. If a water part is replaced in 6 years after install what's the point of putting F1 inhibitor? That's why Fernox and others make F2 Silencer to slowly clean the system, again installers won't do this it's bad for business. Watch the vids on blocked P 2 P they make much more money than replacing faulty parts. Hope that explains, take care, George 🤩👍

My Danfoss HW/CH controller is located in a quite awkward position (low in airing cupboard) which makes it difficult for me to bend down to and see it. I like to put HW on as and when I need it, so I need to regularly access the controller. I want to relocate the controller a few feet outside the cupboard to a much more convenient position. Before anyone asks, no, me hiring a professional to do the job is not an option due to cost. Basically, I need to (safely) extend the wiring (making sure each channel wire-extension goes to the right place in the controller, yes? What's the proper stuff (wire and connectors) I need for the job....Anybody?
@mrcombiBedfordАй бұрын
Hi David, thanks for asking, controls wiring is not for DIY because you are messing with 230vAC which is dangerous. Please trying find someone who has a certificate of attending a course, shop around there not all expensive maybe pay by instalments. I have seen your installation too many times, (I used to charge £200 to rewire now its £300+) 1st power OFF to remove the cover take lots of fotos which terminal has which colour wire, do the same with any junction boxes, Start with the easiest PUMP wire where does that go? Make a drawing, Cylinder / room stats do the same, Look at my VIDs on wiring a room stat Y / S Plans, have the book or get the APP. Big danger is BLUE neutral wire are they being used with voltage, if so that MUST be rewired, not allowed and dangerous. If the programmer is over 8 years consider 2 channel RF, see my VID. that is easy and will save you money more controllable HW & CH.good luck, George Staszak 😀👍

Hi Adam, thanks for that and you are correct too many boiler parts are fitted badly making testing very difficult or even worse difficult to replace, but no one listens to me. What I did was to order new meter leads with very thin probes (BG engineers have them) shop around, shorten the metal probes to 10mm just enough to fit on the PCB connection which is where I did all the testing not on the component, much easier and faster. Hope that helps, may do a video on this.🤩👍

Hi, thanks for asking, All combies have 2 switches 1 for HW and 1 CH which are NO (normal open) dead, until a tap is turned ON. There are only 2 ways to start ignition 1 sensor (Ohms) the PCB see's a change and starts up, or 2 a switch is activated from NO the NC (normally closed) and the boiler starts up until the tap is turned OFF then back to NO shuts down. I don't understand why you want to connect an ELX heater as it's 3 times more expensive than Gas? You can just unplug the aqua sensor from the PCB and enjoy big bills. If you want at add HW cylinder see my video on add 2 zones to a combi or any boiler. hope the helps, George 🤩👍

Why some people spend 1000's to save what? When I added what I paid into my pension I have to be 117 before I make £1.00 profit. I paid for their big building and bonus. Hope the helps, George 😀👍😤

13kw not enough for a house ? Enlighten me please ?
@mrcombiBedford3 ай бұрын
Hi Michael, just going to have lunch, a mid Poz. valve has a gap of about 18mm to the heating side, that only allows 13kw of rads, its recommended only 10kw because the big double K rads at the front of the house will not reach max temp 75C the result will be the boiler stays on much longer and high fuel bills. Remember it's the boiler RETURN stat that switches OFF the boiler. It's better to over size the rads with a LOWER return temp. use my "Heat loss App" and you will amazed at how many rooms have under sized rads 22mm Zone valve can have about 20kw of rads recommended max 18 better to split the system to 2 or more zones to lessen the boiler stress and much cheaper to run. Thanks for asking, Marmite crumpets are go! 🤩👍

Tinnitus, have had this for fifty years and it is my annoying friend !. Very important you don't focus on it, accept that it is there and get on with life. Mr Combi has given some good suggestions and I use these techniques to keep the tubes clear. The Eustachian tube is normally closed but opens when we swallow, yawn or chew. This allows air to get into the middle ear and any mucus to get out. This keeps the air pressure equal on either side of the eardrum. Having equal air pressure on each side of the eardrum - and the middle ear free of mucus - helps the eardrum to vibrate. This vibration is needed for us to hear properly. My analysis of some forms of. Tinnitus can be the reproduction of a tone which you have had long exposure to including something like a computer fan, for example you hear a constant tone in a space from something, the brain counters that like noise cancelling earphones and turns down the gain for that frequency. When you leave the space the brain no longer hears the tone and but is still cancelling the tone but as it is not there you hear what the brain is producing. Don't Focus on it and do speak with your Doctor about your hearing. Good luck I am taking my friend for a walk..... Good advice Mr Combi
