I realize looking back, I think she solidified my love for vampires. I loved them prior but her performance sealed it for me. I remember seeing this I think when I was 12 and she was beautiful and deadly. I only learned I think later on that Aaliyah past away (I didn't know the time of the theater opening) and was devastated for a long time, still kind of am. She was Akasha through and through while also a very sweet person. One of the best queens that I don't think anyone can top.
