Do you have a sheet for this piano transcription? I want to play it with my friend violinist and I have just a small orchestra version with two violins, viola and basso continuo and it´s impossible to read it. I would be very glad!

From *An Encyclopedia of the Violin* by Alberto Bachmann: "Pasta, Gaetano, Brescia, 1710 to 1760. The most important member of his family and a pupil of Hieronymus Amati. His violins are on a flat model, and a brilliant tone, somewhat resembling those of G. R. Rogeri."

This Ysaye character throws me but it sure was impeccably performed! Who was that guy listening to- what kinds of things influenced writing like that? Wild! And we know that dress-we've been watching your Partita No 2 Allemande for inspiration!

Hi, that's my favorite ever version of this piece. I've never found an interpretation as close as the one I want to play (I'm a violonist). Is there a way to get a FLAC or WAV version of the audio ? It would be so much appreciated. Thanks, Clément, From You've Probably Never Heard of It.

The tone seemed very compact with a bit of natural compression, but a sweetness to it. There is an elegance to it, but also a ‘noble sadness’ (maybe it was just your song selection). Not a violinist (a guitarist), but my son is, and have always loved the sound of a violin, and find its history fascinating. Have been to Cremona, and saw many violins while in Italy. Love your playing, insight, and your history lessons. Keep up the great work !

Very, very beautifully played, Illya. It takes so much patience to maintain the that (correct) pace - you're unique in your ability to get it, given the pace in which we live and think in this day and age.

As a violin connoisseur, I loved all your other videos on the legendary instruments by the great Italian masters. However, this dump “Green Island” violin is not something I’d call a masterpiece but a fly in an exquisite dish. Politics aside, this piece of crap made of scrap wood may not have been the very first violin Made in Taiwan, nor the Green Island has become the modern Cremona of Taiwan.
