I don't understand If you are talking about real guitars or The MIDI ones from Bandlab, but don't worry, I'm going to explain both for you! First, The real, my preference are The guitars with humbucker pickups (The Same on The video), It's less noise and have more attack, but If you want The classic post punk tone, guitars with P90 pickups or a Telecaster is The solution! For Record, any audio interface Bandlab Will find and you Just select The option on "input selection". Now The MIDI ones, you create a track with virtual instruments, and select The Type, I recommend The normal clean guitar, and The twang guitar (but for some reason this guitar have a delay on The notes, sometimes It's Very annoying). That's It, If you have more questions, please send here!

I use Bandlab for most (if not all) of my material. And watching this makes me happy that there are people who puts a lot effort with this DAW like me <3 Keep it up man. P.S: fun fact: I used my pedalboard (BOSS ME-80) as an audio interface too 😎

Bandlab is The best free DAW that we have now, doesn't take space on Pc, almost everything is free, without The Type of "free account limits", and It's not too heavy for run! And about The Pedalboard, what a solution my friend 🤣 It's funny to see How things Just simply Works as an interface on Bandlab

isn't molchat doma dark wave? and is dark wave considered post punk?
@lorenzobasscovers
@lorenzobasscovers Ай бұрын
Molchat doma is mostly Russian Post punk style, BUT they work (and get inspiration) with darkwave musics too, and They showed more this on The new album. You know, their sound created a whole new style for The Gothic music! And The Other question that you made, post punk, darkwave, Gothic rock are "parallel lines". One inspired another, one get characteristics from Other, and The only differences between them are Just like: darkwave use more eletronic inspiration (Clan of xymox), post punk is more faster and "simple" than The Others (Joy division), and gothic rock It's The beginning of everything (Bauhaus). Just this, all are Gothic music!
@lorenzobasscovers
@lorenzobasscovers Ай бұрын
And Just for finish, there are post punk bands that don't get much inspiration from gothic rock, listen to 'Pink turns blue" that you'll notice this

@N0sf3r4tuR1s3n Ай бұрын
Goth rock and dark wave have their roots in post punk, they're kind of sub genres that became their own thing in that way. Goth rock is basically post punk with hard rock infused into it, though it often is a bit slower and down pitched in key. Though post punk often features distorted guitars and of course heavy reliance on bass, goth rock is often more so in that regard. Dark wave, well post punk is more experimental than punk, and some post punk involves electronic elements- but dark wave is more reliant on it, it's more apparent, often the drums and sometimes the bass seem to be more machine like, or actually are- droning bass lines and a drum machine. New wave is an offshoot of post punk that focused more on electronic elements than post punk. Dark wave is often considered to be an evolution of goth rock- but there are dark wave bands that are more rooted in goth rock and others are more rooted in post punk. Russian and Eastern European post punk is kind of more reliant on electronic elements and droning bass lines than western post punk, but it's kinda still not quite what western dark wave is in terms of the emphasis on electronic elements and so I guess it could go either way. The thing is that as I said before, these genres are actually kinda fluid, how much electronic elements do you consider enough to consider it one or the other, and things like that. It's kinda subjective like that.
