Robert Ryan was great playing A-H*le's. His voice turns into a different crazy personality talking. (Notice finger as gun prop.) Genius Actor.

This once scene alone - her rendition of "My dreams are gone with the wind" - should have clinched Irene Dunne the "Best actress" Oscar. Seeing her whole performance, you realize just what a skilled actress she was. (And Yes, she and Gary Grant were an acting team few could match.)

One of the funniest movies ever made. The dialogue is witty, the actors’ delivery is flawless and the pace quick. Perfection. 💕

Today, I believe the people feel, war is to importand to be left to politicians or generals. The whole world is against WAR, but still the Generals and Politicians feel complled to spend our money on death, instead of life. See Israel, Gaza and yesterdays Iranian Missial launch in retaliation for Israel missle launch. In retaliation for.........It is the song that does not end. Only the People can end it.

Hollywood is notorious for typecasting, perhaps because the medium itself is superficial, better at showing action than exploring motivation or ideas. On film, appearance is paramount. Joyce Compton was cute, petite, built, blonde, and lightly southern -- tailor-made for the role of "a dumb blonde" and repeatedly cast as such. She rankled at being stereotyped, but that was the price she paid for being part of "The Awful Truth" and other memorable films, like "Christmas in Connecticut," "The Best Years of Our Lives, " "Magnificent Obsession," and many more, often uncredited. She was also a devout Christian and refused "sexpot" roles, but played this breezy night club scene for laughs. She was one of the many talented actresses that deserved better roles than they got.

The story was done in Hollywood 1930's The dancers had to to be various venues like New York. Cotton Club etc.. Here in Midwest youth were tamed and conservative . "Keep still, stop showing off" ,get a job. ",was Depression-era talk. Does any agree?

What a lovely man Jack Benny was! These two are a class act. I like his bad arpeggio about three quarters of the way through. You have to be able to play well to play a bad arpeggio like that!
