Hot take but this is probably why certain human populations have their “look”. Nothing to do w climate esp since we are masters of nature 😂

The question is did the sharks really learn anything and subsequently started going after the invasive species or just helped themselves to convenient food? Well intentioned ….

The lionfish are not poisonous to sharks and eels?
@Dart121716 күн бұрын
Something I’d like to know is if the venom of the lion fish negatively affects the sharks and eels.

All the while, I was thinking some higher being putting us on sticks to feed to the lions. Us, the ultimate invasive species.

Wait... "bees compete for mates, and so do wasps? Even the worker bees are female. They have a hive... 😶 In addition, a study in Japan found that peacock sexual selection wasn't even based on plumage colors like everyone repeats... 😮

How do the spines not stick the predators???
@baldguydiving75Ай бұрын
From personal experience: this is and will always be a bad idea. On my lionfish hunt in Florida the eels and especially the shark harassed us the entire dive to get the lionfish off our spear. Who would pass up a free easy meal? No divers are paying the price.

YOU BASTARD! Not only are you meddling with the eco-system while hurting and killing fish, you're also poisoning the predators!!! They're not supposed to eat that!!! Lionfish are toxic for them.

Imagine just being a lion fish chilling with your buddies in a reef you conquered and suddenly a boat comes overhead and a bunch of divers with spears drop down hell divers style and start stabbing all your friends.😂 Keep up the good work guys

Serious question: The lionfish have venomous spines all over them. When eaten by shark and eels, are those animals not hurt by the spines? Is there a risk that this could be bad for the shark and/or eels?

Guys yes it's fine for invasive species to get harmed, they will destroy the ecosystem otherwise. If the lionfish don't die, almost everything else on the reef will.
