This is because you need to change the option "Key rotation enabled for Microsoft Entra joined devices" to "Key rotation enabled for Microsoft Entra joined and hybrid joined devices". This should do the job

One Drive does not support syncing SharePoint files using guest accounts. Also I would not recommend this for security and compliance.

Another great use for shared mailboxes is when a user leaves the organisation, you can convert the user's mailbox to a shared mailbox for a certain amount of time and remove their licenses. this way you can retain the user's data while not consuming a license.

It depends on your particular requirements, both options will work fine. If you have a very simple setup and all workstation are setup the same, then device groups generally work well. In environments where you have custom setups based on different groups, you may want to use user groups. another example where user groups works well is when users dont always use the same computer.
