Ah JD you were perfect start a new chapter fit after Michael left us . Wish we could have gotten more LPS out of you before the computer clicks age tore up the music eco system and your vices got you

Marty Casey vs. JD Fortune. That was the most epic battle in music television history. 15 years later I still think about it and I'm still split. JD Fortune won this battle with a stroke of genius, his song, Pretty Vegas. It doesn't mean Marty was the lesser of two rockstars. It some ways I feel that Marty was the more pure rockstar. JD blurred the line between rock and pop, which is what INXS ultimately was looking for. No matter. This was brilliant television. Bring back ROCK STAR !!!

When listening to both Marty and JD, JD actually never sang a little of key like Marty did a few times.

Marty was awesome! Unfortunately I missed a lot of this season and wanted him to win. However I really think INXS didn't choose him because he already had his own band. They did ask him to open up for their world tour and I saw them all in Atlanta!!

Marty reminds me of the legendary Eli Wallach audition for Madge in From Here to Eternity . The stellar talent is undeniable but as one of the execs wives opined “ He is not Private Maggio .” Sinatra was . That is what I say about the auditions . Marty wasn’t INXS . JD Fortune was !

They made a grave mistake by not choosing him but rather the wildly unpredictable guy they chose.

So underrated. Im not sure if he just couldnt get his foot in the door or lack of advertising but this man should have hit stardom. Great stage essence. Amazing voice. If he was born maybe 10-15 years earlier he would have been bigger than inxs

Just lately fascinated with this guy . Most of the comments about JD were positive. Sure it was disclaimer first with nobody could replace Michael but most INXS fans were like “ Way to go young man and welcome aboard . Thanks for the resuscitation and keeping INXS going . You are very talented and a perfect fit . “ As for those few negative jerks . What would have happened if AC/DC chose to not go on after Bon Scott and give Brian Johnson a chance ? What would have happened if Journey not found Arnel Pineda ? Heck Vito told Michael , “ I think you just found your Luca Brasi “ when Michael brought in Al Nieri . Still JD era didn’t last but I enjoyed it while it was there .

Lately I've been fascinated with how I actually pulled this off considering Micheal was a force to be reckoned with. I gave it my heart and at some point my heart wasn't in it anymore. May have been due to a considerable amount of factors at that time. Now, I just live in gratitude that I was able to do his music with INXS some justice. I really loved singing these songs with them.
