You are so right about listening to your body. I have a neck thing that occasionally makes certain movements a challenge. I used to push through and end up being out for a week. Finally learned to work on something else for the day, problem solved. With age comes new pains but thankfully wisdom and training smarter wins out....usually. You rock, Happy New Year and all the best, Travis.

I reckon a round off dbl back is easier too (on the tumble track into pit) mainly cos I never technically got up to that inn class, so it was self taught mucking round. Probably the same way u learned it in parkour

@@SydneyOlson Awesome! I know you don't know me from anything, but me and my wife were just discussing this today and we realized we had one of the best Christmas seasons of our life this year. Part of that was we paired down how many gatherings we were a part of to a bare minimum and really just focused on us and our 2 girls. It was a good time. Anyway, looking forward to more videos from you in the new year!

Hey Sydney, piece of advice which will help your tendonitis out massively if not get rid of it completely, you need to start regularly stretching the arches of your feet and stretch the calf muscles out as well, both these things are too tight and your tendons are being pulled on as a consequence, so the way you stretch your arches are by doing half a calf raise up against a wall and you hold it on one leg, once you start to feel a little bit of a burn in your arch and calf, you then stop doing the calf raise, you move your foot further back, you put your weight on the other leg, and you put your back foot on its toes and you lean your knee/leg forwards a bit so you stetch the arch, you don't have to stretch any muscle to any crazy degree, just gentle stretching is necessary to gain the desired effect. Now to stretch your calf muscle you do pretty much the same half calf raise on one leg, but once you stop and move your foot back, you keep your heel on the floor this time and do the same knee/leg lean. Both of these stretches will help your tendonitis out massively, and if you don't have it anymore I won't be surprised, loads of people think that stretching makes you worse as an athlete but it actually doesn't, once your body becomes used to it, it makes for even distribution of force across the body which is what you ultimately want. Hope I didn't mess up my explanation and you can understand my advice, and I hope this helps allot if you see it 🙂keep up the good work ❤

@@bulletproof1581 thanks for the tips! I stretch my calves a ton but not so much the arches of my feet(they’re completely flat lol) so I’ll work on that

@@SydneyOlson Are you actually stretching just before you train though ? if not then you absolutely should, your body naturally reverts to a less flexible state after stretching, so stretching just before you train will actually help your body out way more then any other time, also you shouldn't push your stretching to any extreme degree, muscle tearing damage also happens through extreme stretching not just extreme training, so treat stretching like a relaxation massage where you're trying to relax the brain and muscles, flexibility is a thing you gain over time, you don't have to try and be elite ASAP. Now if none of this is making a difference, then your problem is most likely your warm ups being too quick, so basically you need to have much higher reps involved to stretch the circumference of your muscles, so you need to start a training session with some very tiny plyo jumps, you have to do a minimum of 50 reps and only to 75% effort, so once you start to feel the tiniest little leg burn/pump you stop, now it really doesn't matter what range of motion you use to get to 50 reps, all that matters is that you're putting such little stress on your body, that you're able to get to 50 reps and over easily, now once you're fully recovered from the plyo's, you do another 50 reps but this time with calf jumps, kinda like rope skipping but you try to mentally put more emphasis on the calves more. This will be a game change for you I'm assuming because flexibility doesn't just apply to muscle length, flexibility and performance also majorly applies to circumference, and opening up a muscle and allowing it to handle way more blood, this makes for a stronger more stable muscle once you contract around the extra blood, it's just like how a balloon feels less squishy the more air you have in it. I wouldn't be surprised of both these warm up tools have you feeling amazing during training, and I can't wait to see you progress way higher then you expected 😁you're doing a damn good job so far 👌

Great! Love to see your progress and journey. I've been with you for a few years now and it's so fun to watch your videos. I love this little series you have going. I'm not a parkour person, but your videos do inspire me to push through challenges and keep moving forward. I'm actually trying to become an indie video game designer. It's been a struggle lately. Life gets in the way of the progress I'd like to make, but I'm pressing through regardless.
