I swear this vid doesn’t get old. Whenever I plato in tekken 7 these old vids remind me to keep grinding.

New to fighting games and tekken tag 2 is the first one i bought its telling me i should buy a arcade stick for this cause the controller is pretty tough i can imagine the stick gonna take awhile to get use to.
@Dom_Fl5 жыл бұрын
I prefer stick, but there's great players, mostly in the US and Europe, that play on pad too, so I'd say unless you play on a godlike level like the pros in Asia you can do great with either. Definitely takes a bit to get used to the stick though so if you think fighting games are your thing and you'll play them for years you might as well get one early. Good matches and have fun mate.

How do you release the stick "correctly"? I don't get the additional "back" on release.
@Dom_Fl7 жыл бұрын
Twitchy what do you get if you check the command history? Basically you want to release it so that the down microswitch releases earlier than the back microswitch (both combined create the d/b). Basically you don't want to release it at a higher than 45 degree angle. Experiment a little with different hand and finger mivement until you get the right commands.

Rubbish movement scheme, movement in real life is not this complicated, this game would be far more enjoyable with a simpler scheme

I can't seem to get that micro switch trick to work :/ I'm playing on the Hori RAP4 and even though I release the down back to neutral I never get that added back input, I have to twist the stick in a weird way when I release it to get it. Maybe its the stock stick that came with the RAP4? Do you recommend any specific kinds of joysticks?
@Dom_Fl7 жыл бұрын
ChaosxPaladin yeah you have to learn to do the movement so that the b input registers. The hrap4 should be fine, I started on the standard hrap3 and it worked just fine. Hmm it's preference, Korean Myoungshin Fanta sticks are awesome because they have a round gate instead of an octagonal one thus making inputs more fluid imho, bit in the end it all comes down to your technique, and I currently also use a hrap4. Don't give up man, practice and you'll get it down soon you'll see.

lol you're right about twisting the stick in a weird way. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. spending alot of time in the tekken 7 practice mode. I want to learn this trick
@indonsial99047 жыл бұрын
yeah i`m frustrated too not getting the buffered back after releasing from d/b to neutral.i think as long as i can`t get the buffered back i won`t be able to do it :(
@cyborggenos51427 жыл бұрын
it took me about 3 hours in total on practice mode. just kept trying, never gave up. everyday i'd spend a little time trying to backdash cancel before I play any matches and now i can do it like about 4-5 times in a row. Just gotta get it into muscle memory, and then work on speed. atm I think i can do 4 BDCs about 1.5X faster than the max speed I can do ordinary BDs. The very fist time i did 3 consecutive BDCs it was much slower than just BD and it seemed pointless, but just trust the genius behind this technique. once you get that trick of the buffered back input in muscle memory, everything changes. almost feel like its a disadvantage to play on pad.... keep in mind I've never used an arcade stick before
@StormHowl7 жыл бұрын
I'm able to do it on player 1 side now, but player 2 side is a lot harder. I just use the cheat method for now on that side until I can get it proper. This game is tough, but that's why I love it.

@tfhorth12 жыл бұрын
did you figure out a good way around this? I'm having the same problem, mostly on 2p side. Releasing the d/b doesn't always automatically give me a back input as well, which means my next b won't register as the second part of a dash. I'm having to push the stick up a little bit before releasing to neutral to ensure it registers a b input. Seems ok so far but a bit slower. I probably just need more practice.
@ThaBlackFlash12 жыл бұрын
question, does the the d/b have to be frame perfect? Cuz on a sanwa, my d/b sometimes registers as "d, d/b".

Damm I dind't know it was hard to learn this stuff, I just started using a custom arcade stick and it will take weeks for I completely get it under control. I do the backdash on a ps3 controller at this moment and I can tell you it is funny how I make this techniek works using a ps3 joystick. Only need to be fast and secure, but I recommended to buy arcade fight stick too cuz Its much better....
