Agreeable, but at the same time, there’s just too many bugs and cuts that caused it to bug. It’s a remarkable game, but they could’ve at least done a little bit more play work into it especially just redefining it.

Pro street and HP 2010 were my favorites after MW and Underground

The ONLY good Need For Speed game

Amazing editing work here, brother. Nice serious overview mixed in with some humour (I laughed every time "Payne" was said, you played the sound clips of enemies saying his name). Max Payne 1 and 2 were basically my favourite games growing up.

I think rivals was a breath of fresh air ngl. It had the same idea as hot pursuit. I highly disagree on the car handling. Drifting is faster for only some cars, not every car. For example, the police Porsche can easily maintain 230 mph when drifting, but when compared to the Diablo which will lose A LOT more speed when drifting. Counter steering helps you get out of the drift quicker and speeds up your car since your making your car straighter. This in my opinion is need for speeds best car system. Also turning the siren lights and headlights is an advantage in multiplayer, it makes it much harder for the person in front of you to predict where you are and will only have the slight engine sound. Me when I yap 😭

A nice detail I love about this game is in the online Arms Race mode where it's a race with equipment, however the nice thing is that the police dispatcher actually sets up roadblocks and helicopters with their own custom lines, stating that no interceptor units can get up and close to stop you so they're gonna do whatever they can with support units. It's a really nice touch that makes the world feel alive.

Yeah i remember in the first mission i drove the car without joe sitting in it, even there is no joe in the car, there is continuously dialogues coming from the seat....i restartwd the mission and the bug got fixed..

Genuine question: Have you actually played rivals? 2:09 i get this feeling you haven't. Also NGL, NFS underground 1 was kinda bad. 2 improved the formula way more.

I can't take you seriously. I feel like this is a NFSHP simping video. You don't even know what you are talking about. Have you played the run? Have you played rivals? You are basically saying all the games are about modifying cars. But shift is more like underground than "the run" is the run is actually the most unique game of all the games. And being unique, saying shift is shit does not discredit it being unique, even if it's not your (or my) style (I'm not a fan either but I'm not delusional) and need for speed rivals was basically exactly the same as NFS HP except better, so unique is bullshit because it's not different. And I own the physical NFS HP pc disk made for Windows 7 when it came out. And I bought it on Steam too, and the remaster. So I have 3 individual copies of NFS hot pursuit 2010. And I still like rivals more, and they are basically the same. But saying the run is like need for speed carbon or underground is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

around 4:50 hes saying something about how you never know what your car is gonna do. GET GOOD i never had any trouble with it and i finished it both on the switch and the steamdeck. i still think this game has the best controls of EVERY need for speed game so far.

I have played both NFS hp and rivals.Both are goated.I would say rivals for the graphics and the atmosphere and hp for crossplay and more cars

Im slightly disappointed this review didnt cover the awesome online multiplayer of hot pursuit, which is prob the best multiplayer of every nfs in existence. Esp when remaster has dlc and crossplay enabled.

And you didn’t even mention the online aspect of this game, which is arguably the best feature and why they made a remaster (the old servers were not online). Battling actual people in a police vs racer situation is awesome.

I remember when I was kinda interested cause I heard of the many choices, only for that to not matter and the only choice that changes the ending is in the mission before the last one.
