In 1969 I stood on the flightline at Mc Dill AFB, Fl & watched the con trail of the Apollo 11 launch, a few days later on the 20th of July, while on leave , I Sat in my father in laws living room in Madison, Illinois & watched them on tv as they landed on the moon, my next encounter was watching them on tv as they splashed down back on earth , I was at the recreation center at Incirlik CDI , Turkey starting a 21 month tour ! About a year later I met all three of them in person while TDY to Tehran, Iran at the Tehran Hilton while they were on their around the world good will tour! It's a small world when you are in the US Air Force, I retired in1981 with 20 years .

I know this is old but you should have done some research. We're going to visit this port this fall, first thing I did when I saw the itinerary was look at the port and a map. You obviously didn't do any prior prep. As far as stuff being closed while in port, thats pretty common for the stores, casino, any non inclusive restaurants or activities so the cruise line don't have to pay the taxes etc of whatever country they are in.And its only about an hour each way, you were exaggerating for dramatic effect.

I am shocked at your attitudes in this video . What exactly were you fuming about? You clearly needed to do more research. Many many cruise ports around the world are not close to the tourist areas. Also, were you truly bothered by the locals coming on board?

So you have to get a rabies vaccine and 30 days later another one. That’s an overdose of chemicals that could harm the pet. I knew a friend’s dog who went into anaphylactic shock after the jab and died. My cousin’s dog got bit by a rabid opossum and still got rabies despite having the shot. No thanks, not doing that to my fur kids. I’ll choose orders that won’t comprise my pet’s lives.

My tour of Incirlik in 92-93 was 15 months. If they put it back to 12 months, I feel ripped off and dissed.

As females, we cannot imagine because we've never been burdened with the requirements of selective service and the draft. Cool vid. I deployed to Incirlik for ONW a few times between 97-99. Always loved it there. The alley was interesting. Miss the food and the friends I made in the alley.

My boyfriend is leaving on an assignment in Turkey next year /: gonna miss him like hell but I know this will be a great opportunity for him.

Everyones experience is different though. For me the first 3 days were hell and I hated myself for doing the surgery but the pain isn't bad at all with pain killers. For me it's just very uncomfortable. I constantly had a stuffed nose and you aren't allowed to blow it which sometimes made me feel like not being able to breathe although I still could through my mouth. I had difficulty swallowing so I skipped eating altogether for a week and got most of my water intake through an IV. I'm 3 weeks in recovery and still have alot of numbness to deal with although nothing is completely numb and will recover eventually. The trigeminal nerve in my chin sometimes shoots an extreme amount of pain through my face for a split second at random which isn't very pleasant and can stay like this indefinitely. For a couple days my gums were very sensitive which was annoying but then they just went numb. I still have three weeks of a no-chewing diet ahead of me but that one is very easy for me. It's just boring sometimes. I don't regret the surgery but I'm glad I have the worst part behind me.
