Of course power head to bar length is a issue it's hard for a little power head to turn also of course how much wood are ya putting to it is also a factor try putting that small bar on a big power head and look out chain speed galore it's all how you use your saw . It's fun to test this stuff out I have myself just be careful chainsaws are very dangerous I'm sure you all no so be safe and keep you chain out of the dirt 😂😂

Turned 80 a few months ago. My knees no longer want to push my gas mower up the hill. So, it was time to go self-propelled. I'm heavily into Makita so that was my first inclination. But, after watching tons of videos, it became apparent that . . . 1/ The Maks don't have fold away handles and 2/ They're not especially powerful. The Red Team M18 has both the fold up feature I need in my shed and the power for my rural, weed-choked property. Took delivery two days ago. First mowing today. Happy so far. The pain of the purchase price will pass.

I have a 261 and currently waiting for my 500i from Ripsaw lol. Ordered in March. Hopefully I get mine before the worst of hurricane season in Florida! My 261 is stock but I have West Coast Saw air filter with an outerwears pre filter over it (helps a lot with fine dust), WCS felling dogs, clutch cover, and their universal exhaust port. It gives my friend's 362 a run for its money. Great backup saw.

It's the thermal protection switch making it turn off. Mine stopped working so I removed the switch and now it's good. I also drilled an oil hole in the bar, so I could use a pump oiler to oil the drive links like a real chainsaw does. I've cut tons of limbs with mine, pretty good for $25. I use real bar oil.

Almost all the chinese clones are Zenoah clones from the 80s. They are an older design where patents have ended. So for parts when break look for parts that fit a zenoah. The main thing on zenoah that broke were weak clutches. And you must use 25:1 fuel oil mix not a modern 50:1, 40:1 mix. These are older design saws, along with cheap Chinese metal need more oil in mix. Personally I'd only get one these clones as a back up saw. Or a black max, ryobi as a back up. And main saw be a used stihl, husqvarna, echo. My main saw is a used $150 echo timberwolf 590, and back up a $100 new black max 50 cc from Walmart. If i could ever afford a husqvarna or stihl i would. But what i got works enough for my 3 cords of wood a year needs.

You can use any modern oil at 40 or 50 to 1 in these saws. The 25 to 1 recommendation is because these saws are also sold in countries that use subpar oils.

I bought one before watching this video. I'm returning it tomorrow. This machine only has 1 job and that is to cut grass. It can't do that. I made 2 laps around my front yard and the mower deck clogged up with grass and the engine quit. I'm not willing to rinse the deck out every second lap, not going to happen. I have a slightly rough front yard and it either highsides and the drive wheel comes off the ground or it just stops like a child that isn't getting its' way. If you are asking where this mower will work, here it is. The yard MUST be a 3' thick slab of tempered glass, the thicker the better. surface variations cannot exceed 0.003" overall. But be warned, if a robin or a squirrel does his business in your yard, this will get stuck. Save your money longer and buy a mower that can mow. If you still end up buying this, you only did it for the free hat.

I find it to be good. The tires were garbage so I put some better ones on it and oversized front ones and as with any mower having a sharp blade is key.

Thanks for the video. A bit of feedback however. Try to go into more depth on the pros and cons for a product if your channel focus is on reviewing products. People want to know what the specs are, what the pros and cons are and who the product is suited to. This video didn't really illustrate any of that other then it can drive up a hill and mow sparse grass.

I thought I liked to have one. I went by the Lowe’s store in Springdale Ark. Sat on it, the mounting bolts on the seat frame broke immediately. I checked them out, they were aluminum bolts, destined to break easily. Before I buy one, I would have the store put in hardened steel bolts. Oh, by the way, I am 6 ft and and weigh 190. Shouldn’t happen.

Love mine. It does exactly what I bought it to do. Highly maneuverable, excellent visibility...great for working around obstacles. Sits in the shed all winter and fires up with a bump of the key. Only problem I have had is a bent blade when I hit a big tree root. My fault, not the machine's.

When you told us about the clutch cover, I didn't expect it to work. I don't believe it's more than 50cc max. The ms261 could run circles around it with its 50cc motor with a bad tune. I imagine it's hit or miss if you can find one of those saws that will work. I'm not a gambler, so I would for sure pick a different saw. I don't know anything about the brands you named. But I would save money, and sell something if needed if I was needing wood for heat in the winter. A little Stihl ms170 saw would do much better than that saw. Though I don't need wood for heat I chose a Stihl clone saw, because I could improve that saw with better parts as needed, even Stihl oem parts will fit. I won't enter the give away, because I don't need it and someone that needs it should get it. I bought my clone on credit that I will be paying for for months. But if I could afford it, I would love to give a good running saws to those folks the need it to keep their homes heated. Though I'm honestly envious of those folks for owning a home, something I will never be able to do. I'm rooting for all of those folks out there fighting to live the American dream! May God bless you all and I pray a good saw comes your way and you and your family stays warm in the winters. Hey if you're mechanically inclined, watch for used Stihl saws and do your research on which saw are worth buying for your needs. I highly recommend pro saws in general and Stihl pro saws in particular( because Stihl is the brand I know and trust of the pro saws) , because they are built to be repaired when needed and to last. Don't spend too much money on any homeowner or ranch saw used, because it's a risk and they are not pro saw quality. Older out of production models also might be an option for brand quality pro saws. I chose the Neotec Ns872 clone of the ms380-382 stihl pro 72cc saw. I paid $250 counting tax with free shipping, with the free shipping maybe due to my prime membership. I bought it because it will take Stihl oem parts along with other part options if I need to replace a part. Sorry for rambling, and I wish you all the best saw possible. 😎👍

I think you are exactly right on the hit or miss with these saws, I seen some people say they got one and it was great and I don’t doubt that. I think quality control is to important in some of the factories these saws come from.

Now I'm a brand guy. I at least was it to be a good design, preferably by Stihl. That said, if it get them through a season till they can upgrade a little, then it's a win in my book. But if you can spare the money needed, I highly recommend getting a better saw. I can't afford a Stihl pro saw these days, so I bought clones of Stihl pro saws. But if I did need a good saw, I would buy the best, most reliable saw I could of the pro saw catagory. Because they are what fits that discription. Stihl if I could afford it, or clone of a Stihl if I couldn't. Because clones are copies and you can buy better parts, even oem, to fix the issues, improving your saw over time. But research research research before you buy to find the saw that will fill your needs, at least till you can afford a better quality saw that really lasts and cuts good. I picked up a brand new Clone of a Stihl ms380-ms382 for $250 counting tax with free shipping. The shipping might have been free due to my Amazon prime. Now back to the video to see if this saw works. By the way I think it is closer to 50cc saw considering the type of chain it comes with.

The rakers being different heights could really effect performance. A brand new full chisel chain from a reputable maker sometimes cuts like garbage out of the box before it is tuned.

I have the same one,my broke before my first mow. My dad fixed it and now it just did it again and I have no idea how to fix it. The clutch won’t press down to release the parking brake. He told me it was a safety switch. I dropped the deck and messed with the safety switch but it seems to be working correctly.
