Gosh guys I do get a lot out of your feeds. However, on the other hand, when I get too entrenched in the possibilities of what might happen instead what happens the most, then I think I have no business playing this game. At least, no business of thinking I can win. I've been playing a long time, and losing and I still think that can change. A question. Am I deluding myself? If you can I would appreciate an answer that doesn't have to be too involved. My current poker career might even depend upon your opinion. Or the opinion of other readers. I'm really in doubt about continuing to play for money.

Funnily enough I got stacked just the other day with AK. After 3 betting I missed the flop, and the villain jammed, and I called without even thinking about it. His 55 took the pot. You got to know when to fold em.

With four to a flush you need to be careful but some people if they have a good read knows they don't have the one suit that is missing OR has just a baby flush like 2 high and bravely check raise with the two pair! For instance, someone with a pocket pair of 8s turned their pair into a bluff and that person with two pair knew he either has A) a bluff that can become a bluff catcher OR B) having a baby flush!!! So the check raise (overvalueing) is multipurpose from two pair holdings basically mean, if you raise me all-in then I will fold since its hard to be bluffing and you must have a super good flush! If the opponent tanks for a while, then it means that his bluff could turn into a bluff catcher as you could be doing this with absolutely nothing! So if he calls you show him the bad news!!! If the opponent tanks and then folds, that means that the opponent was scared of the raise as he might interpret your hand as a stronger flush!!!

The thing is how do you play after you lead the flop. Btn vs sb. I find myself clueless on the turn

are you talking full ring or 6-max? quite relevant when you are referring to utg ranges

Our podcasts are extremely helpful to listeners, I'd be surprised if there was anything better out there for free. Your comment is quite condescending, but imagine thinking that you need "data driven strategies" to teach people the fundamentals.

No matter what the solver says, a UTG should have zero folding range to a 3bet. Literally zero.

Some great advice in today's pod, ESPECIALLY about defending multiway from the BB, can really help increase your winrate!

Wondering about your thoughts regarding the weaker 3-bets from the BB when the open raiser is a player who folds around 30-40% of the time to 3-bets? I always felt that assuming a human opponent is folding to 3-bets less than a GTO solver, the weakest holdings in a theoretically-correct BB 3-bet range run the risk of becoming directly -EV in practice. I could be wrong, wondering what you think
@garyblackwoodpoker23 күн бұрын
@@SBClerk yep totally agree, players who are calling hands like QJo and A9o vs 3bets, our J9s and our J7s and stuff are now not faring so well, defeating the purpose of 3betting with them in the first place to make those hands fold! It's all about deviating correctly.
