I'm a big fan of this podcast, have learned a ton from it already. Thanks Mike and Gary for all the hard work! I was wondering if you guys could make a video specifically focusing on playing 3Bet pots IP as the 3bettor - just some tips on how flop, turn, river strategy change compared to SRP? Another suggestion was how to adjust strategy in deep-stacked games. Also, love the vlogs Gary and thanks again!

Great topic. The last tip seems vague to me. From the examples provided it seems as an SRP IP caller, we call one bet on flop or turn. Then river OP check to us. I would love to learn more about splitting on river.

Hey, thank you for these tips. Would you give the same tips for a tournament. Thanks

yes, all of these are relevant in both game types. There will be some instances in both where you don't want to split your range on the river (like if you have 50% pot left in your stack, you would only have one size -- all-in).

Is there any logic to choosing which bluffs to go big and which ones to go small?

I asked Gary this before the pod and he joked that "nobody knows" lol. I've always use the bluffs with the best blockers in the big size. The small size doesn't need that many bluffs to be balanced, so overall I think most bluffs end up in the big size anyway. Similar to how you have to mix some strong hands into the small size range for protection, you also have to mix in some bluffs for balance. It won't matter too much how you pick those bluffs as long as your frequencies make sense.

Hi there, awesome stuff!! Quick question, I recently watched one of your previous episodes where you guys were talking about the Turn strategy. The topic was basically focused around the idea of having one Turn sizing as your main game plan which sounds reasonable. So for example, after overbetting the Turn blank and then facing this river decision, here you focus on having a split to use also a lower sizing but how does it correlate with the previous street? On which we polarized our range mostly saying we don’t have a middling part of our range but then we’re going to rep it on the river again ? Are there any parts of the range that want to suddenly size down? Or maybe I have just missed something! Thanks anyway and I really enjoy the series!

What % of pot is a small bet on the river and what % of pot is a big bet on the river? Thanks
@mbradycf
@mbradycf 9 ай бұрын
small bet is a block size, usually something like 25-33% pot OOP. Big bet can really vary depending on the board. If we have a big nut advantage, we can pile in big overbets like 150% pot and sometimes even bigger. If it's a more neutral board, the "big" size might be more like 75% pot.
