Did the passenger side coil bracket hit your ac box? Mine does, even if i shave it down. Too close for comfort.

Interesting take on the crossmember. I actually had both a Holley and the Gen 2 G Force crossmember in my hands. I actually did a video comparison that I have yet to post. But in my opinion the G-Force is way better design hands down. with much better fitment. I didn't like the cheesy design of the Holley plus the bolts didn't line up properly.

Had a friend,who had the exact same car,same color in 1980.We got hit by a drunk broadside and I spent a couple of days in ICU. But if we hadn't been in something as stout as the Buick,I probably wouldn't be here. I've always had a soft spot for the GM A bodies.

Where did you get that top bracket/plate that holds the radiator in place? I can't seem to find one. I'm swapping an '83 T-Type and putting a dual fan out of a 2000 Camaro.

Aye chip I’m doing a swap on a 85 Grand Prix 04 LQ 6.0 can I still use the factory pump ?
@ChipAndBytes
@ChipAndBytes 3 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not the 85 Grand Prix pump and the LS power steering pump are actually the same inside, just a different pulley and the spring/shims on the relief valve. You could probably swap the LS serpentine pulley onto the original power steering pump and try to put it in the LS bracket. It should work fine either way.

@@jonelee36 Get the clamshells from an 85 regal that originally came with the 5.0 305. You can get them on rockauto. They mount to the g body frame with no drilling. You will have to drill through the original V6 frame side mounts to get them off.

pretty much everyone says coating the inside is fine...........its not a thick enamel or chrome plate product, its extremely thin coat that would burn off(if at all), not flake. Coating the inside makes the most difference to efficiency since the heat is trapped in the gas and cant leak thru the housing anywhere near as much. Clearance to the impeller can be checked with a feeler gauge and adjusted as necessary, if at all. Again cerakote is a very thin coating.
