The biggest problem with Super in my opinion is the nostalgia-bait They just recreate the exact same scenes from OG/Z (moro senzu bean = Cell, Goku lowering his guard and getting injured = Piccolo jr, Goku sparing Frieza ect…) just for a "Look! It’s like that moment from OG/Z!" So it ends up making Goku look like a dumbass who fall for the same trick everytime and never learn from his mistakes

While Dragon Ball GT did do some good things like SSJ4 and Baby, but Dragon Ball GT was mostly crap and I hated how the ending was, Dragon Ball GT came out to fill that 7:30 PM time slot on Fuji TV because Dragon Ball Z was successful, 1997 was at the time when One Piece the Manga came out and that would be the next big thing and Toei would animated it and would air on Fuji TV, In a nutshell Dragon Ball GT is just filler with the only thing that Akira Toriyama did was made the design for the characters, GT did nothing to Dragon Ball other than SSJ4 and Baby and ideas can be used like SSJ4 will be an exclusive transformation to Broly. Dragon Ball Super while not as good as OG Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, did a good job at what a Dragon Ball sequel was and can be explored more, but the real reason why GT fanboys are rabid is that They're nostalgia blind to Dragon Ball GT and think it's the greatest thing ever made which back in 2000s GT had reason to be hated by fans of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z mostly because it's just nothing but filler. If they read the Dragon Ball manga, the series ended with Goku off to go train with Uub wrapping up the series and this was before Dragon Ball Super got announced, Toriyama wanted to end Dragon Ball to work on other things like Dragon Quest before returning to the series because of Battle of the Gods and Resection of F after how successful they where that He returned to the Dragon Ball mangas with Super. In a nutshell Dragon Ball GT fanboys have gotten toxic, yes Dragon Ball Super isn't perfect like poor animation, ECT but if I and many other didn't like GT and liked Super, don't harass people because they didn't like a show that had no Manga and felt like nothing but filler.

Maybe this is a hot take but I'll always prefer a new story over an aleeady made story animated. Sure the moro arc animated would be nice but i by far prefer us getting daima.

I can’t like this video enough

I am watching it, and i like it better than super. Because it's enriching the lore of dragon ball instead of discarding it and replacing with new bullshit that's mostly fan service like super did. Dragon ball is making sense for a change! Super always felt like fanfict to me.

Anyone who watches Dragon Ball z or any other version knows the enemy's transform into a stronger characters with different appearance. Him looking this way kinda means we're gonna see him transform. This is common in DBZ so honestly whoever is complaining she complaining just to complain.

I appreciate the show for what it is, but I definitely enjoy it as more of a gaiden than an actual part of the main story. Too much of it already contradicts lore in Super and Goku's character might be regressed even further than he was in Super... Modern Goku man...👎

The only real negative i have with Daima is that the pacing can be really rushed at times. But aside from that the show is pretty good. I feel like most of the hate is coming from those who think the show is giving off Gt vibes.

What gap because a lot of people want the Moro and granola Arc animated but that's not what Akira and Toei animation wanted because they could have easily animated the granola and moro arc but saying now I bump that we're going to skip over all of that and we're going to do Daima. Like I said until they able to go past the actual endings of Dragon Ball Z then nothing really matters and it it never went because you already know Goku and his friends are going to be fine Who cares about a threat a threat that we already know Goku and his friends are going to beat because we already saw them at the end of the Dragon Ball Z manga

I feel like DB is the only anime fandom with these types of issues. Fandoms like One Piece or Jojo or HxH would eat any type of content up. Maybe cause DB is the biggest anime, so its fandom is more like Star wars or Dc or marvel than it is like other animes.

American viewers really think their opinion of the dragonball anime(s) really matters to Toei. They make their shows for Japanese audience's. We are are the secondary customer. If we were priority these shows would be made in english at release.

The only good thing about Diama is the Lore because Toriyama messed it up and made it way more complicated than it has to be. Maybe he had plan before he died but now I just have to scratch my head because Daima contradicts everything

I’m really enjoying Dragon Ball Daima, but ik there’s a couple of flaws To not regress characters I feel like the show should’ve centred around Goten and Trunks rather than making them into babies (Gohan’s excuse could be that he has to work on his report and trusts them to return him to adult size by the time he needs to hand it in or something). Goten and Trunks should be slightly stronger than Goku and Vegeta (because they gotta get used to being children), but ultimately they would have much less stamina to compensate the power balance. Childish moments could be passed to Goten (bc they want to at old Goku back or something, but it doesn’t mean Goku can’t be naive too). No need for Bulma to be there since Trunks could be a less experienced Bulma The No. 1 Tomogami (the 1 star dragon ball protector) could be fought by Gotenks but Vegeta/Goku get 2/3 At the end of the day, Goku and Vegeta make the money and it would be far better not to risk it

Me personally, the reason I don’t wanna touch Daima is because I’m feeling a little burnt out with anime right now, nothing just hits the spot so I haven’t bothered to watch much of anything for a good while

I think daima died out because people just want Super, Daima is like og DB because of the more adventurous aspect.

Eh, the other characters don't sell as much as Goku would. I can understand their decision. Plus, it's been decades since a mini Goku has been relevant to the franchise, so they just wanted to revive it for a little while.

In regards to the pacing, I think something that contributes to the show feeling like its losing momentum is the extended absence of the main villains for long periods of time (the last couple of episodes have been a little better, to be fair). Dragon Ball is a series defined by its villains (as evidenced by most of its arcs being named after them) so having them not only be completely absent but also keeping audiences in the dark about their overall plans and goals makes the story feel directionless.
