Control vs. Mastery: I think Gohan’s able to control the form, but it doesn’t necessarily imply complete mastery. To me, It suggests that he can harness the immense power of the Beast form without losing himself entirely. However, achieving mastery might still be a work in progress. At least, that's my understanding.

Im completely fine with how things turned out, Gohan being stronger but less skilled and experienced makes complete sense, DBS has made skill and experience an equalizer of sorts. Broly and Gohan bring noted as being very similar was very cool to see, Broly seems to have no interest in skill 😂, he saw Beasts raw power and immediately got interested.

Then, gohan started to use more power and overpower goku until goku got serious (NOT FULL POWER! ABOUT 50%!) and started HUMILIATING beast gohan until gohan went full power by almost going berserk and catches goku off guard. Then goku uses 70% power and starts to not even pay attention to gohan and ki palms him away and he tells him he’s strong. In the end, FP goku>FP gohan.

Goku is still the superior fighter, yeah. But raw stats go to Beast Gohan. Bro straight up blitzed MUI Goku and knocked him the fuck out of MUI with overwhelming speed and power. If that was a real battlefield and they were enemies, getting knocked back into base would have been followed up with getting finished off on the spot. Not Saiyan Goku can't win, his superior skill and experience and the hax of UI demonstrated themselves to be amazing equalizers.

I may need to reread the chapter, but as far as I remember, Gohan's intensity seemed to drop after he knocked Goku out of UI. Gohan in raw power is much stronger. Only Goku dodges and experience gave Gohan some trouble. That speed and punch telling everything, ony Black Frieza punch was more heavy. Goku did 0 damage to Gohan. Gohan was fighting with everybody but not was even scratch. Great content man ! As I said on a different video : The winner in this fight is a toss up. Chapter 103 gave us all the information we needed about the two. 1. Without them using any hax in just a brawl they seem pretty even until Gohan got the upperhand. 2. Goku then went in and showed Gohan the fruits of his own training and got the upperhand. Listen to what Vegeta says, he said Goku is turning the tide in his favor because of MUI and then he goes on to note that Goku has more experience. = This shows us that the gap is not one in power but one in hax and experience. 3. Gohan now shows his Father what his Beast form can do by gathering an insurmountable level of ki by using rage. This boost Gohan's power so much that his raw speed and strength became higher. Listen to what Vegeta says again, in shock, he said Gohan went pass the evassive speed of MUI. = This shows us that Gohan's raw power negates MUI hax. The only advantages that Goku holds now are his raw skills and battle experience. Meanwhile Gohan has raw battle power and speed over Goku. Who wins will come down towards how both of them uses their forms respectively. All the saiyans are going to grow more in battle power, ki control and experience to master their respective abilities. As a fighter Goku is the strongest while in raw power and strength Gohan is seemingly stronger with room to grow still.

Goku’s UI is not able to bridge the gap between Goku and his if the gap is that big, that shot also had an element of surprise in it far exceeded that amount of power Goku was using at that, the fact that he went to UI and continued to fight mean that he know he could take more hits like that. He was also able to keep with Gohan in what we call second round which shows he turned it up a notch. The point of Gohan’s character if he wants to be, he could be the strongest but we don’t know if he’s there yet

The story of this chapter to me was: Goku shows experience and skill creating a gap and Gohan shows control and power and makes the gap disappear. Ultimately Goku was fine and Gohan was fine (he fought twice after that). Goku is the king of skill and Gohan Is the king of power. (Excluding Black Frieza most likely)

During the fight afte Gohan explains how he was able to control his rage he realized that method would help Broly Control his rage when he is in Legendary SSJ form. In the Viz translations Gohan said he push his power or rage to a point before he loses control and that is how he controls it. Broly heard this and Goku noticed and that why he asked Broly to fight Gohan. that why Broly was able to control his Rage form. Broly is at the edge of his rage but not completely in it.

I love gohan and I agree he’s physically strongest but the hacks of mastered UI would probably beat him in a serious fight until he truly masters beast. It’s implied he can’t quite use the form at its full potential reliably yet. I do however think he’d fare much better against Ultra Ego because Vegeta would take his attacks head-on.

Ui goku was slapping beast gohan around. And ui goku after being done with testing beast gohan pushes him away with one hand. Gohan had to gather a massive amount of energy and use that to go full power and he still couldn't hit ui goku clean and the only thing a full powered beast gohan was able to do was give ui goku a small cut on his cheek. Even after full powered beast gohan had a rage boost, goku was still able to react and block gohan's punch but was hit with the kick that immediately came after that. And the kick that landed did nothing. While it was said that gohan beast went full power the same thing wasn't said about ui goku who also wasn't trying to win and just wanted to test beast gohan. And if you notice even after beast gohan went full power and even had a rage boost no one not whis, beerus, goku himself and even gohan himself said he was stronger than goku. There wasn't even a comment by anyone saying something like gohan at full power surpassed goku in strength. Even when gohan had got a rage boost when he went full power. All that anyone said about gohan after he went full power was that he's fast and after gohan beast went full power and needed a rage boost to hit ui goku clean all that was said was gohan bypassed ui's evasive speed.

Eh to be honest i thought this chapter was great. Really great and fun just seeing Goku and Gohan spar, seeing Broly take another step in taking control of his power, seeing ally the saiyans go at it in a royal rumble, and then seeing that wholesome moment with Goku and Pan. My only gripe was Vegeta not going Ultra Ego against Gohan. Not because of any power scaling difference, its more that i wouldve loved to see the other's reaction to it (and Beerus's pride of Vegeta using it, as a teacher 😅). Seeing Gohan, Trunks, Goten and Broly's reaction to Vegeta's new Ultra form would've been a nice touch and detail

As far as we know, the characters inside the world don't know the difference. This could be FPSSJ with control, or it could just be SSJ backed by Broly's monstrous mutant potential. Gohan surpassing goku is not a problem. How he did is and the writers chose to write his progression poorly when they didn't have to. In stead of dropping his power so low then shooting him beyond god level twice out of nowhere, they should've just let his power drops be minimal and intensify his training methods and length of time. Easy. But no. They chose to make him weaker than his buu teenage self and boost him beyond god just to give him spotlight.

Goku conceded the spar to Gohan, and lost by forfeit, making Gohan the winner. As for determining who is stronger, Gohan is using a rage/berserk form in a spar - he’s not maxed out in Beast here, since he’s not enraged. Bottom line, power-scaling wise Goku and Gohan are shown to be relative now with Goku having an experience edge and Gohan having a power edge which has always been the case anyways dating back to Cell if you think about it. Idk why people are so pressed about it tbh.

I said it once Goku merely flexed his power and caught Gohan three times in the Sparring match. Twice after he slightly up his power to get behind Gohan twice and the third time when Goku knocked Gohan back after he seen broly interest in wanting to fight. Ultra Instinct is complete control of Ki and senses shit it wasnt even the first time Goku did something like this. Against Kefla "is that all the power you think you need" Kefla said. Goku "that is all I need right now". Even Vegeta didnt go into Ultra Ego when going after Gohan because Vegeta would of gotten carried away. With that said Gohan has shown that he can keep up with beings who have God Ki and that is what this sparring match was about.

Vegeta didn't use UE (at least from what we saw) because he still has that current block. Same reason why he felt like he failed Beerus during the Granolah arc. He's not even wearing the destroyer earring anymore. Seems extremely doubtful that Vegeta would use UE on Gohan otherwise.

We saw goku and gohan display 2 different levels. In the start of the fight both are fighting kind of casually. At this point gohan can land hits on mui goku. Goku then shows that by further focusing himself in mui his speed and response to danger will increase. (Funnily enough this is also the only way goku can properly use mui at its peak anyway) this kow focused goku overwhelms casual gohan. Gohan diaplays that by allowing his rage to build up while increasing his power and then gaining control allows for him to utilize the full poeer of beast. This powered up beast gohan gets to a point in which even mui evasive abilities become to slow for gohan. At least this is according to vegeta. BUT i have seen no one talking about this. Gohan is shown huffing and puffing after knocking goku out of mui. This suggest that using beast in this way drains him and gohan said this method of using beast is currently the only way he can use beast to its full potential. Meaning beast gohan is not always displaying this power. This is definitely a draw back that can be exploited. I think many fans will agree gohan in short bursts can surpass the speed and power of ui but if these short bursts always lead to gohan gasping for air immediately after then I think in a drawn out fight he's going to lose.

But raw power isn’t enough to win and that’s been portrayed in Dragonball alot of times even in the current chapters. Toriyama made it clear that Gohan has a lot of potential since way back and he knew Gohan needed redemption after resurrection of F fykyk. And he foreshadowed it post Tournament of power in dbs that Gohan will evolve. And he did! But don’t forget Goku is meant to ascend beyond past everyone else in the end, that’s why Gohan will never really surpass or be on Goku’s level. But he might be the new protector of earth while Goku is protecting the rest of the universe.
