Thank you for showing WTF is going on. I am supposed to start drive 1500 km tomorrow so I can see my mom has open heart surgery on Tuesday and my 06 just decided to do this to me. Freaking out was my go to reaction but now after seeing that. Whew. I'm an Electrician as well so I am off to the shop for some supplies and get my girl back running for the drive tomorrow. Thank you again. Sure hope this is the issue.

I have an 04 cayenne that I insert the key in the ignition but I get no power or anything whatsoever. No crank , dash doesn't light up. Any suggestions? I'm thinking it's the ignition switch..but I'm not too familiar with these vehicles.

Just had this problem this morning and following your video solved it. A few days ago I noticed the footwell was soaking wet from the AC condenser leaked. I repaired the wires and tie-wrapped them to a higher location near the brake pedal preventing this from reoccurring. Now I need to fix the condenser leak.

I agree, I have a 2002 E-350 extended 7.3, and it has been great for hauling and towing. Best mpg I've got is 18, but just purchased a Hydra tuner
@haganthomas7867 Жыл бұрын
What is the most that you can safely tow with it?
@haganthomas7867 Жыл бұрын
I also have a 7.3 extended.
@archivegarage7638 Жыл бұрын
@@haganthomas7867 I've towed 9,000 without a weight-dist hitch on the extended (HD hitch and HD 43-1085 springs). With a weight-dist hitch, I think I would do up to 12,000lbs, after towing 9,000. 7.3 PSD & V10 van is rated at 10,000 trailer weight, but for 20,000 combined with 4.10 gears, and 16,000 combined with 3.55 gears. I've towed with both gear ratios, only benefit to 3.55 is you can tow heavy in 3rd 1:1 direct drive gear and still go 70+ mph

First of all I would like to Thanks to you a thousand times your videos which really help me out BIG TIME today …My 2006 Porsche Cayenne which I loved so much, recently it showed Ignition Lock Faulty ..i am about to tow it to the dealer …however before do so, i would like to check on KZbin and Thanks God I found your video…so I got nothing to lose but try…i tear the carpet on the left below the hood release handle…there I saw a bundles of wires …I was so scare…but finally I found the BROWN wire with the RED stripe…(like what you explained in the video the wire was corroded and broken) so I cut out the bad part and repaired it …get what I DID IT Just to let you know …and Thank you so much 2006 Porsche Cayenne happy owner 🙏❤️👍🙏❤️👍by the way my Cayenne has 210000 miles and it run like Carrera 4S😁

Do you know what the 3 wires go to? There are like 3 different ones that are taped from the factory a pair of brown with red line wires, 3 red with yellow strip ones like what you fixed and some black ones… do you know the difference of what each one goes to?
@corsacrew3966 Жыл бұрын
They are taped together from the factory (they tie into each other. We went ahead and did the same repair on all of those wires taped from the factory to prevent and future issues with anything else ;)

LOVE this video, had exact same problem with my 957 Cayenne and thought I would have to get it towed to my Porsche dealer, but decided to google the problem first and found this video and a few others and thought that this had to be my issue as well. Well after getting the proper tools, this took me about 1 and half hours to complete and the car is now running again, so this video saved me hundreds (if not more). I would bet that Porsche would not have diagnosed the issue and would have replaced many parts unnecessarily.

Nice video. You almost did it right. The biggest problem that you had was the little roller on top of the duckhead. This roller is for the tc3250 and has it limits. It can not be adjusted in depht. While mounting the tire, the tire must decent directly to the smallest point of the rim. This can be done by using the beadbreaker rollers. This is why the beadbreaker arm had a locking pin on top of the beadbreaker arm. These machine where only sold by hunter but they did not build them. They only put a sticker on them. The builders and designer are butler from italy. You can find instruction video's by using terms like "butler airdraulic" Greeting from butler/hunter tc3250 &tc3500 specialist netherlands

You my friend rock!! I was about to sell this machine because it could not mount my slicks with the hard sidewalls. Tried your method and worked great. Thank you!!
