Hey mate, new sub from Oz. Checking out and looking forward to your videos. The one on car costs was interesting/appreciated and I have a 2019 Pajero 3.2 motor in Oz that I pay $300 more in car rego than other mid size cars...I think though, leaving your PC behind probably should have been reported, the same would have been expected from me to my work in Oz. Sometimes communicating things is important, I get pissed as a supervisor when staff don't communicate info to me that I could help them with.....

Thank you for sharing. My grandparents had the same expectation of me being a doctor or some kinds of lawyer, architect and so on. Their expectations are genuine, as they did not have the same opportunities to pursue education. They want me to be in a better place, which I am. My parents have lower expectations, nothing extra, just don't drop out of school, so I stayed in school from kindergarten to my PhD. Still consider myself lucky, I met some interns and one told me her family has 5 daughters and all are or becoming a medical doctor, perhaps by the parents' default mode. I feel sorry for her but she seems to enjoy the way her parents want. Asian parents being Asian parents everywhere (this is not to make fun or offensive jokes)

Great Video. Buying a used car in Japan is cheap but keeping it is expensive. For me its seems fair. In my case when I moved to Japan, someone gave me a car for free, a 10 year old 2023 Nissan Latio. As of now, the money that I putted in the car including tire, battery replacement, oil change, annual insurance, title transfer is almost 120,000 yen..and 4 months from now I need to pay the road tax and car inspection fee and is expected to be 180000 yen in total.

So I can move from somewhere with free healthcare to somewhere I can pay lots of money for healthcare? I have to give up my car. I have to live in a country with one of the strictest legal systems in the world with little transparency and many miscarriages of justice. I love Japanese culture but I wouldn't want to live there. I am a big fan of second hand shopping and will be visiting Okinawa in February. Do you have any recommendations for second hand stores? I am particularly interested in vintage traditional Okinawan clothes.
@kylefromjp10 ай бұрын
Thx for asking. You should definitely go check out the Manga Soko(マンガ倉庫),which is the store in this video.They have three store in Okinawa also they r the biggest secondhand stores across Japan. When u say vintage traditional Okinawan clothes, are you referring to Ryuso?(琉装) if that’s what you looking for you should ask the staff inside the store cause they are very rare and a little expensive. Anyway please enjoy your trip and have a wonderful day!
