Great Video. Buying a used car in Japan is cheap but keeping it is expensive. For me its seems fair. In my case when I moved to Japan, someone gave me a car for free, a 10 year old 2023 Nissan Latio. As of now, the money that I putted in the car including tire, battery replacement, oil change, annual insurance, title transfer is almost 120,000 yen..and 4 months from now I need to pay the road tax and car inspection fee and is expected to be 180000 yen in total.

mate, when i need a new radiator for my subaru outback in australia , i just got on ebay and brought a brand new one for about $100. i did the replacement work myself for free, it only took me an afternoon to do the work.. anyway, enjoyed your video man, keep up the good work, i recon you will get more followers once people start discovering your channel yeah

*i did have to buy new coolant fluid though which added to the overall cost of the swap over, but doing it myself made it a lot cheaper than paying a mechanic or a subura dealership to do the work

Thank you for your comment ! Honestly I really admire the people who lives in Australia or other western country. Cause from those video I saw on KZbin, it seems like nearly everyone who lives there, know how to fix there own car by their own hand !!!!!!!!!! I wish I can learn that too!!!!!!! In Japan, except the mechanic, only some small groups of car lovers will fix their own car by themself. Normally people will just drive it to the factory....... Subaru outback is a very handsome car !!! I will keep keep up my work!!! >_

Probably the most informative video about car in Japan! Thanks! Did you bring your car from mainland? It is one of the things we are considering to do in order to move our luggage while getting a better deal on a car.
@kylefromjp2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment!I'm very glad to hear that! I bought this car in Okinawa. But I will recommend to buy a car from mainland. Cause the average condition of used car in Okinawa is not very well and pretty expensive compare to mainland. Also the vehicle’s chassis will get rust very easily due to the strong salty sea breeze. It will cost some extra money around 400 usd to 800 usd to ship your car from mainland, but i will still recommend it! Hope it’s helpful to you~~~~

@@kylefromjp thanks for the tip! We will defiantly consider it as a valid option. Hope to bump into you in Okinawa!

I know nothing about cars, but I originally wanted to get Jimnys for their versatility, but wouldn’t it better to get a hybrid car instead due to fuel costs?

Dude i love your videos. So how much will it cost for you to maintain mitsubishi io 2002 annually?
@kylefromjp11 ай бұрын
Thx for your comment. It really depends on the vehicle's condition. If the condition is good I would say.......1800USD annually. But if you want to change your tiers or adding some off road kit then the cost will keep going up. Good day!
