The 'sign in the desert that lies to the west, where you can't tell the night from the sunrise' refers to gambling city Las Vegas with all its lights.

Chris Rainbow had one of the absolute most beautiful male voices in the modern music era. How incredibly underrated he was. I always thought he sounded a lot like Art Garfunkel, but honestly I think his voice was even better than his. I mean I could listen to this song over and over again and still be mesmerized by that amazing, beautiful, effortless tenor Chris Rainbow had, as well as his unusual and unique phrasing in this song. Simply perfect.

So so lovely… hitting all the right tones and notes, brasses and musicality flows a wide expanse an ocean of depth, yet simple. Really Gorgeous music..🎶 Thank you for posting.

One of the greatest albums of the 20th and 21st centuries. Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson (R.I.P. Eric) the two geniuses of the Project have the noteworthy awareness and talent of combining the rock band, symphony orchestra, and choir(s) that other rock artists contemporary and progressive lack or refuse to consider when making recordings. Chris Rainbow's vocals add to the beauty of these two songs (Parts 1 and 2). So, what is the album released in 1980 all about? The potential dangers and risks of gambling that can lead to avarice, addiction, bankruptcy, and even suicide as a result of deep financial indebtedness.
