I never understand why a great guitarist play under a singer. I love Bryan adams so much he’s a great guy but without keith scott, these songs would not be succesful. So why don’t they give band name ? Ritchie Sambora is similar. How could he accept that Bon jovi name ? If there must be band name, it must be ritchie sambora and friends !

Keith Scott is what every musician should strive for. Guy has tone for decades... and incredible lead guitar solo chops. Throw him a guitar, and he'll rapidly show you how to get the most out of it, simply by playing it, and flipping a few odd switches, and then making a few adjustments to amp and pedal. He's matter of fact about it. No ego, just the desire to get the most out of whatever he's playing on, and through. It's all in a day's work for this guy. I have mad respect, for Scott's ability, and the fact that none of his success has gone to his head. Best of all, he gives credit, where credit is due. Bryan Adams is good at that, too. Both gentlemen are really big, on making sure that the contributing players to their recording and touring successes become recognized for their contributions. I love the fact, that Keith is more than willing to talk shop, with people he just met. Amp settings, pickup selections, amps and pedals used... A lot of guitar players keep that information close, and clam up when asked about it. Keith Scott has never been like that. As a guitarist, this guy can keep up with the best there is, and never bat an eye... I've listened to his work, ever since the "Cuts Like A Knife" record was cut, again with Bob Clearmountain producing and doing the studio tech work. When I heard the first song off of that record, I could remember thinking "MAN, that lead guitarist's tone, is just phenomenal...!" Keith has definitely been a great case study, in wringing the most tone from any Strat, Tele, or Gibson L/P... That being said? Keith's guitar selections have all been winners. All classics, no "trendy" or "new-wave" guitars for this guy. If it isn't well made, then he simply doesn't play it. That goes double for his pedal selections, and his amplification equipment.
