So satisfying to see the reels match the screen when it works. Good work.

I used to use a small hack saw blade and manually cut through one side and push it out. Takes a while. I started using this method later on and If your drill has a clutch set it to where when drilling the bit gets stuck it doesn't rip the drill right out of your hand. The clutch will slip and the bit will stall. Realign and go again. I set my Milwaukee at 10. Hope this helps.

An interesting approach. I will try it on a Split Second playfield I have stripped. Up to now, I have used the 555 wired socket holder and the centering attachment from Pinball Life. I was wondering if a dab of hot glue might be good to keep the LED positioned straight up?

I just purchased a Baby PAC-Man. I am using your video to get ideas to fix mine. I am having a sound issue. The sound is very low. I opened the coin door and tried to turn the knob to turn up the volume but it was already turned all the way up. Is there any other way to turn up the volume? Thank you.

Had the same problem on one of mine, it was corrosion inside the spade connector. Two unlike metals will eventually create corrosion. Soldering is definitely the bulletproof solution. Nice video.

Great tip. I've thrown out my share over the years and If there is a way to save $20+ per coil I'm all for it. Will try this next time I get a seized up sleeve.

You gotta improve your camera - too much is out of focus. Also quite the headlamp and get a light on a tripod that doesn't move around. I do like these topics. So keep at it.

The bolt that holds the gopher, Buzz FWIW, snapped off and I found it in the well. (He was stuck in the up position too.) This video was very helpful. Yep, the bolt goes thru the plunger. That little tension spring luckily did not fly off.

Actually, the LED's flash because they don't allow enough current through them to keep the SCR's on. The 1K resistors that you're adding provides additional current flow to keep the SCR on. Buy frankly, time is money when I'm adding LEDs to a customers pinball. So I find it more cost effective to get the 3 lamp board adaptors for $45 and fix the problem in 3 minutes.

Would be inclined just to change the lamp holders for new than spend time cleaning the old ones, but that just me.

Thanks for the video tutorial. I just took mine apart as balls were starting to jam up. The pin shaft on the mounting plate was lose so I used JB weld to secure the pin to the plate. Hopefully this will last. If not, time for a new mounting plate.

Great tutorial. I've been putting off doing this to my Count Down, but its' definitely time. When you re-solder the connections on the back of the board, do you add fresh solder or just reseal the old solder?? Thanks!!
