I couldn't find a good one of these when I finally decided to get one, so I bought a perfect Deluxe gold top and replaced the mini humbuckers with Mojotone P90's and it is awesome! Out of the nearly 30 guitars in my collection, it is my #1.

Les Paul no doubt... I think with some tweaking on the tele it could still sound great... ha I just got an ultra 2 tele and had a 58 custom vos that was stolen... ;( They r both great guitars but related to whole lotta love I havnt dialed in the tele to sound as good as the humbuckers on the Les paul yet (;

I played one of those. Nothing you can't get with a Custom Shop Tele. So...? No idea what pedals and what amp? hard to say how it'll compare.

Agree with others. It's hard to tell with you..... because you are an amazing player. You could make a hunk of crap sound great. But I've been looking at these guitars and other vids... for quite a while. And I am interested in grabbing one. For this kind of cash... why not! They seem like really cool guitars.

I have been looking at these ever since they came out I had a Fesley les paul style and one of my friends begged me to sell it to him, so I did. This may be its replacement.

At 0:33 the set of nut slots is slightly off-center toward the treble side, but it looks like your fingers' flesh didn't touch the thin E string so that's acceptable. The slot spacing is perfectly even, though. I'm not buying beginner guitars anymore, but they should either stick to side-by-side humbuckers, or find a way to make affordable stacked single-coil-body humbuckers. So the distortion hum would not plague the beginner like it has for generations.
