I bought it outright just on your recommendation and the way it sounded. At this price point how can you pass it up?

It sounds extremely good but I have a few questions that pertain to many inexpensive guitars. Are the outside notches in the nut spaced right relative to the neck edge, and are the other notches evenly spaced? Is the bridge centered? They could be adjusted with surgery but it's a lengthy job, so it would be a great relief to find these properly adjusted at the onset.

Funny thing is, this guitar is perfectly centered. The fretboard dots line up perfectly, better than my Charvel DK24 actually. I was extremely surprised. The tuners are exceptional too. Overall it’s excellent, I couldn’t find one fault, and at $189 US, that’s insane. The pickups sound really good too! I wouldn’t recommend it if it wasn’t good.

@@ClintCurtis That is surprisingly nice to learn; most of my inexpensives needed some recentering, and it's tedious work. I expect all affordable guitars need some fret leveling and polishing, but this job is not nearly as tedious as a surgery. And as you say, finding this amount of factory precision for 189$ IS insane. By the way, did you put some name-brand strings on the axe, like D'Addario or GHS, or is that tone the standard "korean strings" that come with many inexpensives today?

Clint, You gotta try out a Firefly Guitar and give us your Honest opinion. I bought the blue- burst Explorer and feel I got a Lot of Bang for my $$$$. I'm just past the Beginner stage in my old age. Got mine for $209.00. Hope you can do a review on a Firefly guitar one day. Like I said before You ROCK DUDE!!!
