@ definitely was not expecting “pick unique characters” in a beginners guide. More so expected “pick x selection of characters because they have low skill ceilings and are best suited for beginners”

@XyLo2517 in a game like dbfz where all the characters play almost identical to each other on a basic level, picking characters with low skill ceilings isn’t a great option in my opinion. If you want to then fine but playing lesser played characters that have unique gimmicks that people don’t always know how to play around is going to be a cheat code for beginners to rank up while also learning characters with higher skill ceilings - so when they do get the basics down they can transition to the advanced stuff more easily

@ gimmicks are the absolute worst for beginners. Cheat codes also don’t really help people get better either. Not every character plays nearly identical. There’s lots of nuance in neutral and advantage state. A good beginner character would be something like ssj goku, bluku, trunks, ssj vegeta, or base vegeta. A lot of these characters have great neutral and have the easy to learn universal bnb. What makes these characters especially beginner friendly is they have a move that side switches on its own or an immediate overheard, so it can provide easy mix for beginners. Ssj vegeta also has probably the easiest 50/50 in the corner for beginners. A beginner absolutely wouldn’t know the first thing to do with nappa as his neutral is atrocious

@XyLo2517 @XyLo2517 gimmicks aren’t the worst at all 😂 you’re telling me that a beginner wouldn’t be able to implement something like 18’s +2 ki blast? And yeah 100% agree with your breakdown of your beginner characters but my point is that they’re extremely common and at higher ranks, it’s likely that more people will know how to deal with their pressure. A beginner isn’t going to know the first thing to do with ANY character, the point is about learning what will push you through the ranks quickest.

Sorry my bad, sometimes I refer to any moves done in the air as a ‘jumping’ move even though they’re not acc jumping. I can’t remember exactly what I put on this video cos it’s been a while haha. But in terms of how many jump cancels you get, you get one from the ground going into the air and then you get one mid air. And then I think this resets every time you hit the ground again (you get one jump cancel reset at least)

I’m not too sure why this would be dropping granted you’ve timed everything correctly. The only thing I can think of is if you’re pressing jump and light one after another instead of together at the same time, the light may come out too late. Otherwise the only thing I can really recommend is perfecting the timing (annoying as that is I know :/) Good Luck!!

You have to be the last character alive on your team! Then do your level one, cancel it into a level 3 and to use gohans level 5 just keep your finger pressed down on the level 3 button. (You’ll need to have enough bar to do it though)
