Pull the pin and the grenade explosion 💥 will come out of your mouth soon after. Took me about an hour and my fingers are pretty damn sore. What a huge pain in the ass. I won't be changing it back...ever. I also have a TP9SF but the button does not stick out as much and not an issue. That one is just going to remain a righty 😆.

I just finished doing this, and it took me about 45 minutes it was hard, but i did it, and it feels a lot better holding this gun now

About 2 minutes after I pulled that pin, I regretted it. Bought ready to melt this thing down. If you love your life, don’t pull that pin. Doing this on a p320 is so much easier.

How do I remove it ?

What size Allen Key did you use? I have found nothing that fits well for the set screw.

I used the magazine to hold the pin in the track and then pulled the clip up

I just got one of these gun and i'm left handed to, but it looks hard to do. Might have to take it to my gunsmith.

I lost one spring, had to order another. Took almost 3 hours between the 2 springs plus a couple videos , and I still put it in for right thumb release instead of left. I'm not risking all that again, leaving it alone now

3.5hrs in and I’m feeling a little hopeless. Damn spring Just keeps jumping out. Edit: total of 5 hours and a cut finger but it’s done. My spring had a slight bed that made it extra difficult. Had to use the needle nose to hold it in place the entire time.

This was useful. I have the dark side rival and the grey with gold. I swapped all of the gold from the grey one over to the dark side and put the black accents on the grey one. The mag release was giving me fits. Definitely happy with the final results of the parts swaps though. I started out excited to see how the dark side would look with gold accents. The final result of that grey with black though……it should’ve had an option to come that way

Thank you. It was in the case getting ready for the gunsmith tomorrow. I fought with this for an hour then saw your video and did it in 2 minutes. You just saved me some hard earned money.

The slot for the spring is the same thicken as the mag release button bar. I used the mag release button to keep the spring flat in the channel and it helped a lot. Set the spring down below the channel with the button removed, both sides of the spring in the channel (takes some work). Once both sides are in (but below where the button goes) use the mag release button to hold everything flat and carefully use a needle nose plyer to pull it up into the channel. I continue to use the mag button to keep it flat in the channel as I push it upward from the mag button slot so it lets the mag button where it should go. When the spring and button are in place, use a punch to hold the short side flat as the push the whole spring down into the button bar. Align the short side and continue to push it down into the bar. Took me a while to figure it out, but I could do it again much easier now that I know. The first step is getting the spring into the channel and clear of the mag release bar. Once that is done, your 90% done.

Fantastic gun for the money. Very happy with mine. Shoots great. 500 rounds with no malfunction of any type.

Did this, looked good, but took it off because it blocks access to the qd point. It is possible to weave it around it, but it's a pain to remove and reinstall.

Worked but now magazines fall out while shooting. :( I noticed the spring slides up just enough to allow the release to move and magazines to fall out.
