anyone got issue with the animation? i just install these on my fk8 and using the black plugs only i don't see the animation for turning on the car and shutting off the car. Other than that everything works, also for the double plugs do you use 1 side green and 1 side black, because there is only 1 slot on each side

Does that help, with rock chips or random rocks hitting?? Or what does it protect from?

It's protecting from uv fading the plastic and bugs/tar from sticking or leaving marks

Awesome video man. Quality content as always. One question for you- is it possible to run the HKS BOV when running aftermarket charge pipes? In particular the mishimoto charger and intercooler set up. Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure. I was on HKS charge pipes. If your piping that connects to the pipe by the throttle body is larger, then I'd assume you would just need to find a step-down coupler to go from the larger pipe to smaller hks pipe

Yeah I noticed that too. Once i installed the recirc kit the intake noises went away fully and you just get some slight bov noises if you let of the gas just right lol

It comes with a lug key to loosen/tighten from the inside of the lug, but every FN-II key is the same 😂

I installed mine. Couldn’t get the animation done. But I did notice the 4banger fogs from morimoto don’t work. And the oem fogs do work.

Hi kodawari, I’m planning on getting the varis widebody kit sooner or later. Anything I should be aware of? I’m planning on getting wheels with it so I’m not sure what specs I should get

Just know it's very high maintenance and a lot of guys became scared to drive their cars after doing it. It's so expensive if you damage it and it sits really low. I've been driving low cars all my life so I never scrape, but a lot of guys aren't used to it. I have a video of the 5 things I dislike about widebody if you go down my video list

Definitely love the look and those would be some of my reasons not to get it. It’s expensive and fear of getting hit lol. I’m looking into the EPR reps since they are half the price of varis 😅

If your headlight mode is on 'auto' and it's dark, the headlights will bypass the animation because it's important that you have lowbeams on. Try putting the headlights on 'off' or 'drl' mode and then release the e-brake after starting the car. The headlights will go through the animation before going into drl mode.

How do you enable the startup animation? I connected everything but no startup animation I have the blue plug used.

When you bought your recirculating kit, did it come with the hose from the BOV to the Intake?

It's a separate part number for the recirculation kit that comes with the bov fitting and hose

Can use run FN2’s as a open lug nut?? Reason I ask is because I ordered them for my gramlights but Im going to have to run spacers in the front of my gr86 to avoid rubbing therefore I need longer wheel studs for the front and these won’t fit on longer studs unless I can run them with no cap

They can as long as the stud doesn't stick out so far that you can't get the hex bit in to loosen/tighten the lug

How are the pulls with this battery compared to the oem one?

Same? Car runs and operated exactly the same but minus 30 pounds. The weight savings probably isn't drastic enough to be felt in back to back pulls, but you have to start weight reduction somewhere if that's your goal and 30 lbs is significant when in the end you can shed 150-200 lbs
