HOW TO Safely Run Aftermarket Blow-Off Valve on Honda Civic Type-R [FK8 | FL5 | Integra Type-S DE5]

The myth that aftermarket blow off valves are bad for your car is debunked in the video.
I'm going to show you how to run a recirculation kit for the HKS SQV4 Blow-Off Valve for 10th Gen Honda Civic Type-R (Also works for 11th Gen FL5 and most likely Integra Type-S DE5).
You could install this recirculation hose fitting onto any car's intake coupler to run an aftermarket BOV in your car that requires a recirculating system.
I've had zero issues for a year and my tuner (that hates aftermarket BOV's) tuned the car with the BOV + Recirculation Kit on and had zero issues with the datalogs.

I have a similar silicon suction hose so will be following this procedure exactly to run recirc. Does the turbo itself matter? I assumed not but wanted to check: I'll be running a P700.

I'm not 100% sure. I was on HKS charge pipes. If your piping that connects to the pipe by the throttle body is larger, then I'd assume you would just need to find a step-down coupler to go from the larger pipe to smaller hks pipe

I bought the hks bov kit with the pipe but you also need to purchase a separate recirculation kit which changes the bov's fitting to connect a hose to recirculate air back into the intake coupler hose.

If there's a will, there's a way. You'd just need to follow my guide but also make a port on your charge pipe by the throttle body if the fk8 one doesn't fit.

It looks like they have a kit for the 1.5T, contemplating getting one myself. What I don’t understand is how it works with the factory BPV, are you supposed to install a block off plate or do you just disconnect the vacuum line and use it for this instead?

No need to tune when you have it setup to recirculate. It's basically same as oem but with the crazier sounds

It should. As long as you get a bung welded on charge pipe and then install the hose port on the intake coupler
