Man, I think Robert Redford missed the opportunity to play Bill Clinton in a biopic (about an older Bill Clinton, of course), he really checks all the right boxes (he is of course more handsome than Clinton, but the important basics are there). I would say the same about Morgan Freeman as Hendrix (in the 70s) or Bruno Mars as Prince (assuming that he learns to act). I know this is off topic, but that high school photo of Redford made me say it.

If this video proves anything, it’s what a class act Natalie Wood was and Robert Redford still is.

So-called "Cary Grant" wasn't even his real name. He was born Archibald Alec Leach. Changing one's birthname, other than for marriage, shows disrespect of surname & family heritage. It's especially a shame, if it's done at the behest of deceitful & mercenary 'Hollywood' studios or entertainment moguls & managers. The ludicrous misrepresentation of self, for ANY reason, is simply unnecessary.

This is NOT ''Christopher Walken on Gene Kelly.'' This is an excerpt from a documentary, with a script written by someone else, for Walken to just read. Granted, Walken was a dancer, but it's not really him expressing his thoughts.

Been a huge fan of his pretty much my whole life. Thought I would see his movie star looks again, then I saw Micheal Dorn from Star Trek. They could be brothers, except for the obvious difference. Just something I noticed. What do you all think?

I watched "Inherit the Wind" again very recently and completely agree with Walken. Kelly turned in a serious dramatic performance. There was a closing dialog with Tracy and Kelly that was breathtaking in its intensity. He had some razor-sharp lines and he delivered them perfectly.

Cary Grant was a fabulous actor. He only had one flaw: he made it look too easy, like all the Greats. Maybe that is why he never got the Academy/Oscar recognition which he so richly deserved.

I couldn't agree more with the words of Jack Lemmon. If you want to know everything about technique - watch Hichcock. If you want to know everything about human behavior - watch Billy Wilder. Boy, was he great!

It's incoherent. It'll show a year on the screen, and give us a quick scene from a picture that came out that year, then show something from several years earlier or later. And since the compiler made no attempt to cover every year, he shouldn't have bothered occasionally flashing a year on the screen. Also, the snatches of movie scores are lovely, but with the exception of Gone with the Wind, they don't match the pictures they're paired with.

They used to show old movies on the local NYC stations. Carey Grant was one of my favorites. When my kids were young they could not understand why their mother liked watching old black and white movies. Now they watch them, too.

If there ever was a REAL movie star, there is Burt Lancaster. Its depth and range and incredible physical presence remain unmatched. He gave the impression that he knew more than we ordinary people, that he had some sort of a deep wisdom.
