Curiosity motivates me to wonder. Why make a pilgrimage to Jamaica, when the journey is truly within oneself? A participant observes: “Without the team there is nothing.” Is the energy of others a necessary ingredient for fulfillment? In the end, is not life mostly a solo journey? I wonder if people have done this alone, in their own neighborhood. And would the experience be similar?

Great questions. Although, I'm not sure that life can be a solo journey, especially human life. Maybe you're referring to your inner life? But we see what happens when people spend too long alone - you can end up with all sorts of problems. It can really slow your progress. Sri Chinmoy said the days of living alone in the Himalayan caves are over. For many, an inner oneness is what really matters. What are your thoughts?
