Hey! He wouldn’t commit to say when exactly but he said very soon as they are now building the final production models but they need to tripple check all assemblies with the new workers assembling as they ramp up production. He also said L mount will be the first released with EF and PL to follow after. Lucky I ordered L mount 😂..

@@ODHunte Thanks. Super news! I was so excited, like a kid at Disneyland in front of the cameras, that I forgot to ask questions when leaving. Also, I saw on the Blackmagic website that they released a new camera update for the Pyxis a few days ago, and in another video, they mentioned that they plan to release the screen this year. I’m going to get the L mount too. Do you think it’s a good idea to pre-order it now, just a few days/weeks before its release? Or would it be better to wait until it’s in stock for everyone?

Great video, I’ll try to do it with mine. I already have almost all the bits from when I had to rig my rs2 pro on a boat. Anyway, I don’t know if I’m the first to point it out, if not sorry haven’t read all the comments, but I see they have a focus ring glued to the variable ND filter, and one of the motors is not on the aperture but on that, so they can adjust exposure remotely 🤙🏻

@@zizzil0277 only need to connect to the focus handle but if the GH4 is supported by the focus handle for control, you can also use a cable to connect to your the camera for extra comms. You’ll need to check the approved camera list.

The Android situation is a bit sad atm. Camera API 2 provides pure RAW video data but the BMD Camera app doesn't make any use of it. BRAW should easily be possible.

Hi yes, you could use a dummy battery, or a suitable USC adapter. Make sure the D Tap adapter can do USB-C Power Delivery if the FX3 needs that. You would need to double check this.. 👍🏿

Idk if I missed it, but another gotcha is no Active Track. People thinking they’re basically getting a Raveneye Pro are in for a surprise. Also the unit I bought was defective; tX overheated and shut down after about 15 minutes shooting in an air conditioned office. Hopefully the replacement units don’t have this issue Bonus gotcha: It seems that the receivers can’t power the tablets or phones they’re plugged into. Supposedly it will slow down the discharge in phones, but tablets are out of luck. This is actually the biggest problem in my opinion. Since it occupies the USB port on the phone/tablet, you’re SOL if you’re out in the field and the phone battery dies. I suppose you could switch over to wifi transmission and charge the phone, but it’s still an annoying thing to have to worry about when juggling a hundred other things on set. Not to mention, the latency is significantly higher in wifi mode so not great if you have a focus puller (although tbh I’d recommend an entirely different system if there’s any major focus pulling)

Wow.. sorry to hear about your experience man. That’s really frustrating and unlucky to get a dud unit. DJI are very good about returns and repairs though in my experience. The ports not supplying enough power is a problem unless you use magnetic charging on the back of the phone but again that’s another device to buy which we don’t want! Be interesting to see if a firmware update would allow this to be unlocked or not..Thanks for this

Rec Low means it goes silent when recording; it detects when your camera is in record mode and mutes itself. Otherwise, it's all systems go for max cooling. Watching your video, looks like you didn't hook up a camera, so it wouldn't register as recording and wouldn't trigger the mute-on-record feature.

Yes you are correct about that. I was testing the maximum noise levels. Didn’t test the rec low level while recording only the level whole not recording as that’s a consideration. Would have been handy true.. thanks for the comment.

All i know is the bolts that come w the L bracket are the strongest camera 1/4 20 bolts ive ever used. I strip out the head of every freekin availible bolt kit ive ever used. It would be awsome to have a variety of all standard mounting hardware bolts from someone who knows what ther doing. Really appriciate the quality in your products. Thank You

Thanks a lot. I stumbled upon the anamorphic desqueeze issue with my Ronin 4D. When I got it I didn't even think that this kind of thing could be an issue. I mean - it's like 100 lines of code to do that thing. And it's like "WHAT?". Actually sitting right now trying to find a workaround. I think I can manage it by chaging a device resolution :D

@@Lugo1993 the Accsoon app as a monitoring app seems better developed with more features. But obviously the DJI app itself has more options relevant to the gimbal and the ability to control it. It’s not just a monitoring app .. Also you can stream to 4 WiFi devices at once with Accsoon only 2 with Ronin. Really depends on your workflow. I’d try to rent or borrow one to see which one works better. DJI has a good reruns policy as does Amazon if you can’t rent or borrow the Accsoon device.
