Can you compare how the weight distribution is between this “octopus” rig and something like the Tilta ring grip? This octopus rig looks quite front heavy, but I would hope the shoulder contact would support some of the weight. I have the Tilta ring grip, and while I love the control it provides, it is an arm burner.

I love the design. Can you mount the Gimbal on the shorter side and have the longer side face down in case you want a shorter profile. A side view would have been great to be able to see.
@ODHunte Жыл бұрын
I’ll put some more photos on www.motionpicturehardware.com You need to use the longer side to give the gimbal enough clearance for tilting.. The holes were also specifically created on the long side to fit all three major manufacturer’s base connectors. Thanks 🙏🏿

@@ODHunte Since you came with the great idea of putting screw holes to the HDG L Bracket sides , i would like to suggest a tip connecting the ( Tilta Advanced Rear Operating Handle ) left side to the HDG L Bracket using something like (CAMVATE Standard NATO Safety Rail 105mm C2055) i think it will distribute some weight of Rig directly to the HDG L Bracket away from the expansion Base plate tooth. since we already not using that mini weight support bracket that Smallrig include in the kit. and also for overall sturdiness and safety for electronic gimbal connection .

Properly exposed files with cine glass or canon FD, Mamyia 645 lenses and milvus lens mmmmmmmm definitely a system that will last a lifetime. Also on the experimental side from regular 6k, Resolve studio with timeline output as 8k also fun for the whole family hehehe 😄

great set of videos... I'm kind of obsessed with this setup. I will be ordering one of these brackets as soon as I get my budget approved!! quick question about this setup in general. I was chatting with Tilta to get info on the compatibility of the new Nano II control handle and after some testing they confirmed that it is not possible to use the rear operating handle and the Nano II control handle to operate the gimbal at the same time... just wondering if you can confirm that you are able to use both the rear operating handle and the DJI tethered handle at the same time? ...Are you able to go from briefcase mode using the rear operating handle to control the gimbal and then sling the rig onto your shoulder and immediately start using the DJI handle to control the gimbal?

Is there a way to mount a DJI RSC 2 in the same way? It doesn't have the detachable handle, but it does have a 1/4 screw hole when the handle is pivoted.
@ODHunte11 ай бұрын
You really need to detach and put it on a base plate to make the most of this type of set up.. Sorry. If it were me, I’d sell the RSC2 and buy a RS2 or RS3 second hand on Ebay.. You have so many more mounting options being able to take the grip off.. plus beefier motors on the RS3 Pro

My take on mounting it was on a v-mount cheeseplate. Battery on one side, rs3 pro on the other, but I've been looking for a better solution as its grabbed to the rodholder with just 2 1/4s which makes me anxious with so much weight on it. Being able to distribute the weight through two rod holders seems great tbh. I might pick it up. I really want a good sideview of it with everything on tho
@ODHunte Жыл бұрын
Hi, been busy getting everything set up. Will get some side view shots on the website soon. This L bracket is built super solid and you can put a heavy system on there without fear of any bending. 👍🏿

What if you put two cheese plates and you got 4 rodholders?
@AINEET Жыл бұрын
Here's a third comment lol have you had any luck running both the lidar and the raveneye at the same time? From what I've read the way to do it is to hook up the raveneye normally, then you daisy chain the lidar to the motor and the motor to your vmount battery. Thing is, that you need an a dtap to usb with no PD standard because otherwise it defaults to 5v and doesn't give enough power to turn it on. There's little info and videos on the matter, but there sure is some
@ODHunte Жыл бұрын
I’ve not had any success doing that. As far as I found it was either or but perhaps I need to dig deeper.. if I get some time I’ll have a look at some point. Let me know if you find out though.. thanks

Sorry to be a pain, but what is the average waiting time for dispatch of the L bracket? Many thanks
@ODHunte10 ай бұрын
Hi not a pain! You should allow up to 21 days from ordering for dispatch which is by FedEx or UPS. FedEx usually takes 3-4 days. That being said, the brackets are made in batches and depending on where you are in the cycle of manufacturing you may only have to wait one, two or three days. Obviously I’m pushing the factory to make these as quickly as possible. There’s another batch coming in a day or so so now’s a good time to get the order in. Thanks!
