Feel free to ask for less spicy version for the kids. I think most places will be able to provide that. Also spicy food with butter or ghee can also help lessen the heat. So carry some amul butter with you esp the one that comes in a plastic container or good quality ghee with you. Govardhan ghee is good and comes in small plastic containers which you can travel with. Also most places in India will have Amul butter and so feel free to ask for bread n butter for your son. Or jam bread can also be ordered. Or bread butter with Cucumber and or some tomatoes can be easily order at such places.
