best defense is to runaway, a guy carry a heavy baseball won't catch you
@s1x6x1s14 минут бұрын
wow... all the critics say, "don't let a knife near you. RUN." well, yes, if you're in a relatively open area where you can simply run, then run. get help or hide. but what if you're cornered and the only way to escape is to go through the attacker? that's what this training is for. you fight to create a window for you to escape.

Excellent direction! I like the timer too. Keeps self defense accountable.

I was taught to start like a lion and finish like a dead one. Coaches trying to make us puke every class. And we wouldn’t start practicing technic after intense workout to get us super tired. That tiredness would simulate the adrenaline dizziness or fight or flight state one might experience while being on a real situation. I guess the importance of building muscle memory on this state might not apply to the type of drills they were running on this vid

These tactics are all well & good in the training sessions...but this technique only has a chance of working, if you can close the gap between yourself and the attacker, faster than he can swing the bat. And in probably 99% of real-world situations, it's not going to happen! In the dojo/gym, etc, everything is choreographed i.e. you already know what the "attacker" is going to do. But, on the street, in a genuinely dangerous situation, when the adrenalin is pumping and a certain amount of panic is happening, it's VERY different!

It would be easier if she popped her shoulder up and traced his pit with her head and stepped out but hey it still worked. But the shoulder pop is important especially against bigger tougher opponents

Fat slow guys are looking good with this system. Actually their own weight is a problem if they are attacking . The stance is clearly - - -a demo for some cash for training.
Pretend like you’re throwing a ball, he might swing at it

It’s a common conception to close the gap on a long range weapon. Short range weapons are just as dangerous. You need to keep distance with short range weapons. But if it’s getting in close, you need to close in completely and disable immediately !!!
