That beard is looking fly man.👍 I know a lot of beard care companies that you would love. My issue with the trucking industry is ... I had a class B for 25+ years + DOT card, and an with an X endorsement for 14 years and a very good driving record. All expired. I don't have the money for college class for CDL, I have a recent felony, I can not leave the state, nobody wants to hire me even for a dishwasher job. Yes I applied to Fair Chance and 15 companies that say they hire felons - case by case basis. None have offered me a chance. I would love to get back into the trucking industry, especially local delivery or dump truck. I have limited skills and physical ability. Any ideas or connections ? @@LevelUpLomax if you in the sap program . You dont get downgraded to a B . If your driving status is prohibited , youll get your license downgraded to a regular drivers license . If you in the SAP program and are following the steps , and are already reinstated doesnt mean youll get your license revoked .

If you go town to your local homeless shelter and set up an appointment with a guidance counselor, they usually have free cdl programs. And some of them give you free phones if you complete the month long course.

@@camerongomez115 I would say take the free CDL and hit the road for that year or two to gain experience. It might not be exactly what you want to do right now but honestly most local companies want you to have experience because you’ll be working in high traffic areas. Or you can try to go through a company like mclane or Sysco they are mostly local and will put you through school but it is hand cart delivery.

And was maybe even reconsidering another career because it’s so hard starting off local especially for someone to pay while you’re doing local . I’m currently 21 that comes in factor too . I drive a flatbed tow truck for 1 year which is considered as a commercial vehicle

Good information. Questions: Is there more or less no touch demand, to your knowledge? Also, isn’t there a schedule or timeframe, in contract, the freight receiver has to keep when unloading?

@@Microbiables I would say they are about even as far as demand. Think about it like this everything we pick up and deliver is some sort of product so as long as it keeps selling they’ll keep needing it. That’s why as the driver you have more of a say so in what you’d like to do. As far as a timeframe with shippers and receivers the only schedule they will abide by is your appointment time. The flow of the wearhouse will determine how fast you’ll get loaded or unloaded. But until you start to get familiar with some places it’ll be up in the air every time I’ve gotten in and out at a busy place within an hour and I’ve sat as long as 2 days waiting to get unloaded. But on average most places will get you in and out between 1 to 3 hrs

This is a great video that gives some solid advice on how to get your cdl through a company! I watched your previous part 1 video and it was really helpful in knowing how to get a cdl through a company. Luckily, I was able to get my CDL through my employer FedEx Express, as I was already an employee. I am really grateful I was able to obtain my cdl through them as I know CDL school can be expensive. I recommend everyone to take advantage of any driver training program that your company offers as it’s so worth it!

I started my career in food service with Mclane worked there for 2 years delivering gas stations and convenience stores then I went to sygma/sysco delivering restaurants. It’s good money but you will work for every penny.

It’s cheap compared to Illinois same exact apartment I was paying 2k a month for I got for 1400. Gas and groceries are way cheaper as well only downfall is the jobs don’t pay well but if your a truck driver or got some type of career or trade you’ll be good.
