You right my guy! Just alot of opinions out here...fact is technologies have caught up with the times. I drive a 18 volvo been doing this 10 years now. The automatic got me up a 6% grade in the snow without chains. Traction control cut power for grip and I just kept it moving. I love auto's

A manual is good you can drive it just like an automatic. You just got to remember and know what you are doing. If you are really focus you should remember what you are doing at all times. Automatic is cool going long distances but is very bad going up a hill. Smh 🤦‍♂️ you should know how to shift never know what situation might come up. You should be versatile. Not one way. lol I drive both and it’s just natural to me. 🤷🏾‍♂️ but you got some good points. Manual ain’t for everyone lol

Automatics are becoming more popular because companies are tired of replacing prematurely worn out clutch/transmissions/diffs from new drivers still learning. It’s just not financially good for mega carriers who hire mostly new drivers. I think automatics are better for City driving but long distance loads it’s way more fun to drive manual makes me feel more connected to the truck. If you have to think about shifting you are not good at shifting yet

they are not automatic. only ALLISON offers an actual automatic gearbox for class8. the rest are automated manuals. same exact boxes with auto clutch solenoids

Automatic vs manual is worse than Lebron vs Jordan…(Lebron is the goat)…. Are speeding tickets or D.O.T violations different in an automatic or manual? Has a shipper/receiver ever turned a load down cause it was delivered in an automatic or manual? Has a broker ever asked or paid u more depending on if u have an automatic or manual? Is fuel cheaper for automatic than manual? Has another driver let u cut in line cause u drive a manual? Last point….. them robots definitely not gone be driving a manual😂😂😂😂
