That was a horrible fill, it created a wall top where there wasn’t one.

I only had 2 2024 bookings until late March and now my year is completely filled and we’re having to turn people down because we have so many. It’s really changed my perspective towards next year’s booking and calmed my anxiety.

I learnt from doing music photography that with some LED lights you can actually change the speed of the “flicker” of the light itself, and sometimes just a small change could work better for photography. Often these lights are kept at the same settings. Equally some cameras have the ability to shoot non-standard shutter speed increments where again, being slightly offset from the speed of the light can make the difference and mean you don’t have to sacrifice your settings

I love using flash outdoors and do it all the time but the picture without flash in this particular case is 1000000000% better to me. Even when using flash, it’s not better because ALL the shadows are gone……unless, of course, that’s the look you like. I feel like you just blasted away all the shadows and think that looks better. You killed all the beauty of the drama of the first shot. Either positioning the flash differently or lowering the power so you fill in the shadows only a little might have been a better look. Completely annihilating shadows isn’t always the better way to go but that’s just my opinion. Photography is largely subjective.

you will still need to take test shots, your camera can be mirrorless but your the one controlling the settings and its not gonna be perfect first shot
